Showing Income & Wealth Inequality

I keep seeing more arguments against a 2% wealth tax from the super rich so that tells us all that GarysEconomics is getting its message across.

We need to convince the masses and doing so is not so easy as the old tropes about gained working hard and economy would collapse etc persist.

What are your go to ways to get the message across?

I've recently plotted income & wealth and its pretty eye opening I think. And this is just up to £10M which misses an estimated 5% to 10% of wealth (or in other wordsat least £1 out of every £20 - mind boggling).

I was thinking of putting up a calculator online where people could enter their income and weakth and find out where they rank in th UK. Or something like that. Any interest?

The Case For A Billionaire's Wealth Tax | Gabriel Zucman

I thought it was really interesting hearing from someone who is more of a tax expert and academic.

I gotta say though, the thing that makes me laugh - Rory and Co agree that wealth inequality is a) rising very quickly, and b) causing living standards to drop, but they keep arguing against any legal mechanism to correct it...

Well done mate, you've just argued for a violent revolution, as all other options are "doomed to fail".

Personally, I very much hope we can deal with the inequality crisis without all that!

Do these guys not think ahead!?
