i have a b840-p wifi board.

up to latest bios i couldn't set my ram speed to anything. the moment i set it system stopped booting at all and i had to reset bios settings.

latest bios allows me to set the ram speed to 6000 mt which is ram's maximum speed. once i set the xmp profile it shows correctly in the bios and system boots. it shows correctly 6000 mt in overclock page of the bios. it shows incorrectly in the bios welcome page. it shows incorrectly in windows, linux, cpuz, hwinfo.

and by incorrectly i mean jedec standard speed.

what i understand from this is simply overclock section of the bios is simply faking the speed.
