Monarchy

I'm not sure if this is the correct Reddit community, but I was thinking about this.

The UK maintains a monarchy who holds a neutral public stance in political affairs. The monarchy has suffered some scandals, but tries to maintain a good reputation. Throughout history, other countries abolished their monarchies.

The history of monarchies has been the governance and running of Kingdoms. Subjectively, there has been 'good' and 'bad' monarchs. I would assume monarchs arose for society foundation and organization, a system of hierarchy, a society structure.

By far, I am no history expert. If more monarchies more early on adopted a different stance, where they stayed out of political affairs, avoided scandals, weren't so greedy with wealth, do you think more monarchies may have survived? As a national symbol, not running political affairs.

Creating a Map | Tools | Landmass | Editor | Guidance

Hello DayZ Community,

I am new to 'map making' and the DayZ tools. I've used the DayZ Editor mod a tiny bit, too. The tools for DayZ seem very complex, in comparison to other games like Project Zomboid.

I watched video tutorials of a tool which generated landmass and water, but it was 100% random, based off specific variables. This generation seemed to be of poor quality, too. Ideally, I was wanted to draw/paint my own landmass, based on my own preference. I would have no idea how the elevation under the water could handle this.

Real-life locations:
I know people import real-life area data into the tools. I do not know of any 'islands' in real-life which could be suitable for my project though. In my opinion, real-life towns and cities seem far too big, for the DayZ experience. I would assume having villages, towns, and cities, of a descent size, so it's fun, but not stupidly massive.

My plan thoughts:

  • The world - suitable landmass and water
  • Highways & intersections - lay down main highways to connect areas of the map
  • Secondary roads & intersections - lay down secondary main roads
  • Tertiary roads, intersections, streets - lay down streets
  • Buildings - perhaps DayZ Editor, unless otherwise, place down buildings

Consideration:

  • I don't want a task which is too huge to complete, I want something doable, of a good enough size.

My basic example draft:

Example of islands for map.

Settlements, Settlers, NPCs, Assets

Hi FO4mods community,

I have asked in the distant past, but I would like to ask again for suggestions. I want to further improve and enhance Fallout 4 with different mods, tweaks, and assets.

I have tried Sim Settlements 2, but I would like to find alternatives to this, as I want to build my settlement from scratch. I am unable to make addon packs for SS2.

Areas of interest

  • Graphics, visuals, textures
  • Performance & bug fixes
  • Settlement mods
    • Building assets
      • Modular building & snappable
    • Building tools & utilities
    • Workbenches
    • Power solutions
    • Paths & roads which settlers will use
  • Settler mods
    • NPC AI & behaviour
    • Settler AI packages
    • Settler idle markers
    • Renaming, custom names, assignment, uniforms/clothing

Goal

  • Settlements feel lived in
  • Settlement purpose (traders, leisure, defence, etc)
  • Settler NPC AI behaviour improved
  • Fix bugs & issues
  • Make settlement building easier

Any suggestions?
