I'm sure this has been asked alot.

How long does it usually take?

The Lion vs its german predator the Löwenjäger (Lion Hunter)

The Lion is a heavily armoured british ish heavy tank inspired lightly by the tiger 2. one of my earlier tank so it very much follows doctrain of THICK armour and HUGE gun and it weighs about 75 tons. oops

The Löwenjäger is a very heavily frontally armoured tank destroyer influenced by the elephant tank destroyer but with all the good parts of the jagdpanzer e100 while also having a rotating turrent making this tank genuinly one of my best tanks, it fires a 120 by 1200mm round which murders literally every other tank I've made and I can only beat it in a fair fight with either my challenger two or another Löwenjäger.

This is my first tank. versus my most recent (proper) tank

first one was clearly just figuring out the game.

second one is a fully custom fullly freeform tank going of the rough dimensions of the challanger 2.

the challenger 2 also has the same size gun as the new challenger 3 will have. a 120 by 570mm L55A1

Bear Isn't Evil. That's What Makes Him Terrifying. Obsession (2026)

I have been inspired by other people on this subreddit to watch the movie as well as hearing a lot about how Bear is one of the worst villains ever.

Bear seems normal. People may call him nervous, a hopeless romantic, maybe even harmless. It took me 26 minutes to realise that this was categorically false. In short, he is the most selfish, weak-willed, cowardly man I have ever had the pleasure of watching

He is selfish because he never really prioritises anything over his desire to be loved by Nicky. Sure, he can plead ignorance for the first 25-30 mins or so but the second he finds out from Ian that her dad isn't dying and he asks her "do you love me more than anyone else in the world", referencing his wish, it's clear he knows, we know he knows, Nicky knows he knows. He has no excuse from that point onwards no matter what people would say.

This leads us on to how he is weak willed. This is shown from start to finish. He didn't stand by what he said at the cafe when Ian said his confession was "cringe" although the waitress clearly liked it. He didn't say no to Nicky when she surprisingly loved him soooo much and suddenly, very clearly even to someone as blind as him, wanted to sleep with him. He didn't say no when she was acting possessed or when she made a mural with his dead cat, or when she cut his hair or when she made him a FUCKING SANDWICH out of his DEAD CAT among many other things that would've sent any man with an ounce of integrity running. At that point I was really wondering where the line was. The Boys night, I thought he might draw the line there, nope.

Then the point where I stopped trying to find any sort of limit in this complete wet wipe of a human being was when he was flirting with Sarah who he clearly, genuinely cared for and Nicky brutally murdered her in front of him. Ok, he was in shock, he didn't stop her. I thought, being a coward, he would run or scream or call the police. No. she blames him then asks him to help hide the body. I really thought that maybe, just maybe, even Bear wouldn't agree to this. Obviously I was wrong.

It is only after she tied Sarah's mutilated body to a chair and shot Ian in the head in front of him does he slowly realise he has to grow a pair and actually do something. Just to further prove how much of a coward he is he couldn't even pull the trigger even though he knows how much is at stake and how time sensitive it is. To his credit, he does get it done and release Nicky from the curse/wish that he placed on her.

Bear is not evil. He is everything I described him as before, but he is not evil. If any of you thought he was then you can now understand the consequences of someone who lives in a state of akrasia due to an obsession.

Bear doesn’t fully accept the consequences of what he’s done until the very, very end. He continued to want him and this possessed version of Nicky to work even after everything he had learnt. It took two of his closest friends being brutally murdered right in front of his face to make him realise just how serious the consequences of his selfish and cowardly search for "love" had been.

OH AND JUST TO TOP IT ALL OFF. He escapes without any real consequences and leaves the real Nicky surrounded by HIS, YES HIS, trail of death and destruction.

Although Bear is not evil. He is something far more disturbing: a weak-willed, selfish person whose flaws are ordinary enough to exist outside of fiction. Inside of nervous, hopeless romantics who are supposedly.

Harmless.

Just like Sarah, Ian and Nicky thought.

Some of you may think the one wish willow made the bear act the way he did. I assure you, it didn’t. You give a weak willed man an opportunity to claim the thing he’s always wanted, no matter how wrong he thinks taking it is. He just won’t be able to control his desires. He will become obsessed.

Obsession annoyed me. It made me want to punch a bear. Freaked me out and definitely surprised me. 9/10

edit: After going back and watching the end scene, bear didn't even have the balls to kill himself so he doesn't even have that ggoing for him.

Evered utility ship help

I made a previous post about the issues I'm having with my crane but i am passed that so i'm simply asking if anyone who is half decent with PID's and the complexities that surround them could give me a hand in sorting out the microcontroler that controls my crane. Thanks

creation link if you want to have a look: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3733803117

the microcontroller for the crane is directly beneath the crane control seat

Crane position hold with PID help.

I will try to keep this as concise as possible.

I'm building a large boat with a large crane I want the crane to stay in its position in reference to the world

I'm using a medium turret ring to rotate it.

I'm using two push buttons connected to a numerical switch box inside a micro controller to control the rotation of the crane.

I have a limited understanding of PID's and memory registers.

I saw a post talking about using two compass sensors to keep the crane still even while the boat is moving: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskEngineers/comments/nvrc7r/a_plainenglish_description_of_pid_proportional/

I struggled to reverse engineer his boat and couldn't copy anything meaningful.

Hope you can help
