.mov files corrupt
Okay this is semi long but would be so helpful if anyone has any answers:
I recently started making content for YT and have been screen capturing with a cap card from my Xbox to obs and doing very simple edits in iMovie for post production. It’s worked great so far minus a few big things…
My video is file is randomly corrupt and I only find this out after I upload the file to iMovie. It makes the entire process a million times harder because I have to edit around the corrupt parts of the video (just a few seconds of corrupt footage here and there), but today it completely closed me out of iMovie due to a corrupt file. (Exporting in fragmented .Mov)
I’ve heard to export in .mkv and do a redux of the .mkv file to fix corrupt issues, but then when I do that my mic clicks and there’s small popping sounds anytime I try to talk. Plus it still doesn’t fix the corrupt video issue lmao
Long story short, .mov seems to be the best because I can talk clearly, but I have no idea how to have a final video that isn’t corrupt. And again, I only find that it’s corrupt AFTER I’ve automatically exported it to my external hard drive (my hard drive has plenty of space (1.5 TB).
Any help on this would be so damn helpful. Let me know if there’s any other info I need to provide if anyone has any solutions. Thanks!
