Account placed on hold immediately after ID check
Hi everyone, I just tried to sign up for Prolific, but my account was placed on hold immediately after the identity check. I used my driving license and did the face scan via smartphone, and the process ended with the "failed identity check" message.
I’ve already submitted an appeal explaining that it might have been a lighting/glare issue with the ID card (it's plastic, so maybe the auto-check failed).
Has this happened to anyone else recently? How long does it usually take for them to review the manual appeal?
