Things I wanted to give a shout out to...

I plan to turn 46 on Tuesday. Being in the later half of my forties is sounding scary! Help me remember all the fun things from our childhood to make me feel good about this age!

Here are some of mine:

- Tang. I mean, is there a better orange powdered drink mix out there?

- Beta. Those cute little tapes! I distinctly remember watching The Last Unicorn on repeat

- The sounds the doors made when someone logged into AOL instant messenger

- movie days in the classroom. There was NOTHING BETTER then when you saw your teacher rolling in that tv/vcr strapped to a cart

- going to the mall! Man that was like a cool girls day, an 8th grade date... hanging out at the mall was a VIBE

- 90210, My so Called Life, Wonder Years, TRL, Fresh Prince

- co-ed naked tshirts. I think I had a CO-ed naked cheerleading one. also PEACE FROGS

Keep it Going!

Try to carry something that is close to the amount of weight that you lost... Yesterday I attempted to carry two tubs of cat litter up the stairs from the basement. They are each 40 pounds full, but one was only about half full. I'm gonna say it was like 65 pounds total. I couldn't do it.

I have lost up to 78 pounds. It's INSANE to me that I was just walking around carrying two tubs of cat litter. I literally dont know how I used to carry just my body up the steps! INSANE.

Might as well just call me a fucking boomer. I just made a comment about being a GenXer/Millennial on the cusp and someone said "you're a xennial! Join us!". LMAO I didn't know we had a name.

So here I am. 1980. What a time to be alive.

We are loving the new Carmen's Italian Ice in Kensington! I've already hit my first reward. LOL. I can't decide if I like Rita's better- but this was a great addition to the hood! Our new thing is to go pick out a plant at Johnson's, a bottle of wine at Old Market and then get a gelati. #tellmeyoureoldwithouttellingmeyoureold
