Need help starting my transition

I came out to my parents in January and still haven't started. Back in May I met with a doctor who recommended presenting more femininely so I bought a kilt and it feels pretty nice. I went back a few days ago and she kind of said the same thing, her advice was to socially transition beforehand and also make an appointment at Three Bridges. The problem is that I really don't feel comfortable enough with my body and appearance to present femininely and I also live an hour away from Three Bridges. If you have any advice that would be greatly appreciated

My dog is being put down on Monday

My parents told me just an hour ago that my Cairn Terrier, Maxine is going to be put down this Monday. I thought we'd have another year or two together but her health just suddenly took a turn for the worst. Her renal disease advanced to stage 3, she barely eats, never speaks and is so much slower and more tired than she used to be. I've had her since I was 6 years old, I can't imagine life without her. If you have any experience or advice to share and help make this easier that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
