I hate this new carousel, even if games are faster now
I'm a Grandmaster player. I just play until I get Challenger, then I quit. I don't think that matters, but my problem with this new carousel is the lack of interaction with the other players and that interaction is trolling... Maybe this is bad, but I'm pretty sure trolling without knowing is a great thing. I know it's bad only when it happens to ourselves, but having the opportunity to steal a desired unit or item is what made the whole concept of the carousel good.
This new 'carousel' solves the cloak problem (people just don't want cloak) with 3 options for every player, no matter your placement. But the lack of this unintentional trolling with other players makes players choose comps so early. That's why being contested happens so often because people choose comps even at 2-1. If you start with a rod, guess what you're going to play this patch. Maybe I'm just nostalgic and I just want last set back.
