New Dark One-Shot

Taro Ishikawa is a 15-year-old boy who denies the existence of God. That conviction is challenged when he is confronted by none other than God himself. Now that he is face-to-face, will Taro accept him into his life, or continue to deny God?

Taro vs God channels my grief and frustration with religion into a scathing critique utilizing metaphor and symbolism to make its case. It could be best described as part Christopher Hitchens, part Nietzche, and part Der Führer’s Face.

Finally feeling liberated from religion years after being an atheist.

So I just finished making a comic about an atheism and while I don’t want to appear to be self-promoting, I want to talk about the release it’s given me.

It’s been years since I left religion/faith but I felt so much anger and frustration about what it took from me for many years. While my comic is fictional, and not about that at all, it’s been liberating to finally channel that anger into an art form.

Has anyone else felt like it would be better if they released their frustrations/grief with religion creatively? It’s been cathartic for me.
