Is thinking about ones inevitable death a low frequency practice?

Forgive me if I sound like a complete newbie but I’m early in my journey

I’m considering practicing “memento mori” daily as a reminder that my time will eventually come.

I can sometimes revert back to patterns of procrastination and so I feel like this reminder of context will be a strong inspiration to transcend those patterns.

The only thing that concerns me is, in creation and manifestation, it’s my understanding that you should focus your thoughts, energy and attention on what you DO want and not on what you DON’T want.

But at the same time the reminder can help shake one out of mental rumination and in to more loving and fruitful behaviours for the day.

What do you think?
