I decided to take my Harman Accentra insert out to clean and made a blockoff plate to keep the fire going a bit hotter. Most of my stove pipe is through external chimney, I shoved a bunch of Kaowool above the plate, but the way the plate sits, i dont have a complete seal around the stove pipe as it goes through the plate. Any concerns about the Kaowool and the intake vent blowing that crap all over the place? I was looking at sealing products for around the stove pipe but I am a bit partial to the high temp sealants and how bad they smell. The Kaowool is much more dusty than fiberglass batts as I was assuming it was similar to that. Not a fan of little ceramic particles peppering me when I sit near the stove.
