Made the move to fold 8 (mind blown)
I’ve owned an iPhone since I was 14, starting with the iPhone 7. My most recent was the 16 Pro Max.
Recently, I just couldn’t take it anymore. The stale UI, random lag, restrictions, and Apple deciding what I can and can’t do with a phone I paid a ridiculous amount of money for.
My gut kept telling me Samsung was the right move, but after being on iPhone for so long, switching genuinely felt weirdly intimidating. Completely different ecosystem, unfamiliar UI, years of being locked into Apple, etc.
Eventually I thought, screw it, and ordered the Galaxy Fold 8.
I’ve been setting it up and… OMFG.
Why have I been living like a peasant all these years? 😂
The amount of freedom and customization is insane. Multitasking, the Fold hardware, the displays, actually being able to set the phone up how I want it… it feels like I’ve suddenly discovered what a smartphone is actually capable of.
I genuinely feel robbed thinking about how much money I’ve handed Apple over the years for increasingly boring, restricted hardware.
I was nervous as hell about leaving iPhone.
Now I’m wondering why the hell I didn’t do it years ago.
