Spay incision opened, advice needed
My cat got spayed 4 days ago on Tuesday, I have kept a soft donut cone on her basically at all times but I did take off her tonight for 20 minutes so she could use the bathroom and eat easier. I turned around for 2 minutes and caught her licking the site, it seems like she opened it from that as it was fine this morning.
To me, it seems like this will heal on its own. I did contact the emergency vet and they asked for pictures to evaluate if I need to come in since I expressed I don't want to displace my cat for no reason as it doesn't seem as serious as other opened incisions I've seen.
They said I can wait until the morning and bring her in, but I am wondering if it is even necessary or if I can wait until Monday to contact the vet I go to, or if here is something I can do at home to help her heal on her own if that's even an option
