Full home water filtration system recommendations

I live near Charlotte, NC and started noticing a very strong chlorine smell in my showers recently. It happens in both of my showers. My town does post a water quality report that I can link to if anyone is interested.

I called my plumber, who I will admit are a big company called Parks Heating and Cooling (they also do plumbing and electrical). They do good by me for all my needs so far, fixing AC, doing electrical work, etc. So I wanted to see what they would recommend.

They came out and tested my water and said that it was very high in chlorine and the only recommendation they said was a full house water filtration system. The 2 systems they recommend are definitely pretty expensive. They recommended CSI CARBON water filtration system for around 3,100ish, and the HALO 5 for about 6500ish.

I'm curious if anyone here thinks I should go for either one or if I should try to find a better system for a more affordable price. I know some recommendations will be to get my water fully tested to see exactly what I need and I am open to that. But ultimately I am wondering if anyone here thinks I should just go for one of the two systems at these prices.

Plus I'm not very handy and don't trust myself installing anything plumbing wise. I would most definitely need a plumber to install any system to my home.
