What's your special light?

Everyone loves their super bright stuff. But what's your real favourite? Be that for sentimental reasons or just loving it so much.

Personally, out of my whole collection, I have an old mini halogen mag light. The beam quality isnt great, and it flickers as the batteries move around, but theres something about that halogen glow and weight that I love. Its the one I pick up and play with when im sitting at my desk. I also however love the raw power of my diy flood I built on an arm for my desk, 2x sft42r with drivers and big heatsink. Great for the cleaning and inspection work I do. Fun to just turn on and off.

Looking for network switches

Im looking for network switches, Ive used luminex and netgear AV before, but this is for my personal tinkering/ problem solving/ touring rack, so I can't really justify paying the prices for that gear new, and it rarely comes up on the used market.

My requirements:

Dont need a sleek or easy to use UI, this is for personal tinkering and temporary deployments where I will be the only configuator.

Doesn't need to be new or current gen. I am happy to buy used, and older generations.

Leter 3 switch, Able to be configured for Dante, video protocols such as NDI, lighting protocols and others. (Not necessarily all at the same time) AVB Milan would be nice, but not at all a requirement.

Theres no specific port number in mind, 12 is likely the most I would need at once, even 8 would be fine.

POE would be great if possible for the price

SFP+ ports are not a strict requirement, but definitely a nice to have for future/ larger deployments.

Price wise, im looking for the budget end, buying used. But im more concerned about getting the best bang for my buck, most configurability, most options.

Speed isnt a big concern, gigabit on some ports will be more than enough.

It can't be screaming loud. Often used in corporate gig settings.

Ideally less than 1U form factor, but I can live with a full 1U

A shallow form factor would be great to take up less rack space.

Whatever I buy I will likely buy 2 of, so if it was part of a family of devices, with smaller or larger variants so I could have more flexibility, that would be great.

Anybody used "baloon igniters"

Ive got a good amount of pyro experience.

Im just wandering if the "baloon igniters" work with traditional pyro systems like those from le-maitre. Videos ive seen always use their own little cheap system, or a 9v battery.

Is the pulse that many systems use too short?

Would the higher voltage break the igniters?

I will probably buy some anyway and report back, theyre cheap.

Any help would be great!
