Number 3!
Time for round 3!
The third was somewhat a spontaneous decision, but came after 4 years of deep thought and questioning. We decided we did want a 3rd (I grew up middle child of 3 boys), and that we’d leave it up to fate if it was going to happen. So far we’re 5 weeks in, and it feel oddly different from the last two. We’re both super excited, but it comes with a much more mature mindset I think. I went through a lot since our last (4y/o) was born. My father passed, I had some big shifts in career and the wold feels a bit more complex than before. I feel like a completely different person than 22 year old me. I finally feel more like I’m fitting into the dad role now that I’m a bit older. We had our first at ‘20, second at ‘22, and this one will be early ‘27. We’re both 26 years old so this may be the last one. Fortunately, we’ve kept almost everything from both my son and daughter, so we’re prepared either way. We also already got a minivan so I don’t have to worry about boosters and car seats smacking together.
Any advice for 3?
