How to improve the small step footwork fast?

I consider myself an intermediate level player, but have got issues with the small step footwork that is needed to finely adjust your position according to the ball placement so that I execute the same stroke every time.

What I suffer with is that I tend to bend my arm and twist the stroke path or execute incomplete strokes, as I am not where I am supposed to be.

What steps/ drills to take/ practice to step by step improved my small step footwork?

All the mentioned BF2042 Portal maps were visually having a high fidelity already and I (like many others) hardly played on those maps, as they were only available in Portal for a majority of Battlefield 2042's life.

It would be not only efficient, but also wise to do a bit of polish and add them to Battlefield 6. With the amount of effort it takes for the developers to make a new map from scratch or to reimagine an old classic, I think they can start off with these 6 maps as a kind of lazy love letter to the community.

I humbly request DICE to consider this, please!

What do you guys say? Upvote if you agree!
