Do you ever feel that there are days when the matchmaking just says "Fuck you in particular!"??

I am coming completely mentally beaten down from what must have been like 10 - 12 losing streak on Breakthrough. Absolutely horrible day of gaming. Worst part is I managed to top the leaderboard in most of the matches yet I just keep always being in the losing team somehow. Doesn't matter if I attack or defend. All those Breakthrough matches were on Golmud and no matter if I attacked or defended I lost every single time.

Please tell me I am not the only one who ever experienced that cause I legit feel like uninstalling today and keep asking myself how can one person have such a fucking bad luck in the game as me today? XD

Does the new sniper feel underwhelming to you all?

For context, I am not an extremely good sniper, but I do manage to get by. However, with the new L115, I simply can't get anything done. The only time I manage to get a kill is on someone who's lying still, but every other gun would have managed that as well.

The bullet drop is extreme and the bullet velocity is just sad. I feel like airsoft guns are better.

Am i just bad or not made for that weapon or is it really how i feel it.

OG Battlefield players unite please!

trying to impress someone but my xbox is broken and it’s been a while since I’ve played.

If I want to impress a date as a quirky little joke, (and then tell him I actually haven’t played OR i’ll confess when i lead him to a game and he carries the game lol) what would be some inside, ultimate player of battlefield 6 inside fact, or player known that youtube gameplay won’t tell me?

please and thank you in advance!!!

"You can't fire me... I quit!"

Chopper pilot really said "The only person who kills me is me."

And yes, I know the kill feed shows bots in the game. One of the consistent joys of playing in a smaller region like South Africa. But this wasn't a bot pilot. He did kill a bot passenger in the process though.

Guys, do you still have sound issues? Silent footsteps etc? What about hitreg?

I never quite had that problem (or at least noticed it ), however yesterday, I had a very blatant case. I was holding an angle and for a brief moment, all explosions had stopped. I was pretty sure that there was nobody coming, because I couldnt hear anybody. A second after that thought occured to me, a guy sprinted by my side and blasted my face.

So, is this something that is rare for you? Do you notice it at all?

What about hitreg? I see a lot of whining in the main sub, so I turned the event graph on to see if the client hits register and 99.9% of them do, it's super rare for them not to. My ping is usually 30-50ms so maybe thats why. But on the other hand, I see so many people complaining, on reddit or in game that there must be something going on.

Tell me your thoughts

"Average Golmud Railway experience"

Made by two absolute shitters. Please do not make us redeploy ourselves. (Thx again u/Megaciolek for the VA and Mocap). (Due to us having high school finals we were too busy to make one of these gems sooner).

High tier mouse player uses a controller - constructive discussion

Just wanted to air my thoughts & findings of my BF6 session today using a controller - can’t post this on the main BF6 sub for some reason but here we go

I want to preface and say I have no bias or preference if you are a controller or a MnK player - play what you enjoy and as you should hopefully read on, I feel that both inputs are fairly well balanced

I’m a decent mouse player, Master rank in the Voltaic benchmarks apparently puts me in the top 3-4% of aim trainers. I love the knowledge/science behind learning to aim correctly (it’s a deep rabbit hole) and I understand it well along with the practical follow through to back up the theory.

I usually play BF6 with a mouse and do pretty well, 4.5k/d and drop a 100+ kill game every now and then as infantry - I still die a lot due to being a rush/frontline kind of player and making bad positioning decisions (definitely a game sense issue)

Today I decided to play with a controller, I use controller on and off, never really seriously and not played much of BF6 with a controller. I used a controller for majority of my childhood and on/off gaming later on. I would consider myself maybe above average with a controller when I’m dialled in.

Before I started BF6 I did a few aiming routines in aimlabs with the controller, like I would do with a mouse before I play any FPS game, even if it’s a casual game like BF6. Aimlabs has no aim assist and the settings are quirkier than the settings in BF6 but I did it anyway

First game I load into with a controller, I go on a tear and get an 18 kill streak off the bat, ending a game of Escalation 53-9 - my brain could not fathom??? Perhaps an easier lobby? There were no bots in this lobby

Load into a second game, this time Breakthrough. Few deaths straight away. Perhaps my last game was a fluke and this is controller for me??? Come back with 13 kills straight to bring to me 13-4. Attacking side, lost the game, top of the leaderboard and 41-11.

These are the sort of k/d’s that I get with my mouse?! Is my 1000+ hours of aim training totally wasted in a game like BF6 lol???

My conclusion:

Playing with a controller was really fun for me and I enjoyed every minute of it. There were straight up kills I got with a controller that I knew I’d likely have not gotten with a mouse. Example - enemy is on a nasty head glitch and I can only see a tiny head in the distance, controller just ended them quickly. I know with a mouse these are trickier to hit and often require tap firing. Hip firing on a controller is a lot fun too!

The aim assist, I definitely visually saw, and felt, the reticle sticking to the enemy. Is it too strong? I don’t think so. I just wanted to pick up a controller and play, and be somewhat competitive and I was just that. I am objectively better with a mouse because of the time I’ve spent working on that skill, but I was just as good, and quite quickly. I think it’s balanced for the most part. Although if I had spent 1000+ hours aim training with a controller instead of a mouse, I think the outcome would be ridiculous. I felt the Aimlabs routines I was running for controller were really really beneficial and gave me a boost even before I shot an enemy in game.

What assist struggled with on controller was the snap of a mouse. If you have good aim with a mouse you know this is called target switching, it’s potentially one of my strongest aiming categories. Going from 2 or more adjacent enemies on controller is more difficult for sure. A mouse I will just snap from 1st to 2nd with no issues. If the enemies are behind one another, I always use penetration ammo so it felt the same on controller and MnK. The controller felt like sticky and hard to switch to the next target.

Recoil, I only noticed it marginally. It’s definitely a little less on controller, on guns like the VCR for example, I can beam at considerable distance full auto with a controller and won’t get away with that as much on a mouse.

I play with 40cm/360 in BF6 on mouse and I used 70 sensitivity on controller. It felt really cool to be able to flick and rotate on controller really fast, it was odd seeing my screen move so rapidly. To the point going back to mouse felt visually slow.

Finally - I believe the game is balanced for both inputs. I love that if I’m not feeling like using a desk/mouse I can just sit back with a controller and play and still have fun. I’m going to start implementing small amounts of time to controller aim training the same way I would with a mouse aiming program and I’m excited to see the results and how they translate in game.

Anybody else experimented with this? Or gone down a different route? I know some mouse players will use a controller if the game has aim assist so I’m curious to hear/discuss

The tank/engineer changes are really bad for Breakthrough

Unless the person driving has never driven a tank before or they leeroy it into the objective, they're nearly impossible to kill without half the team playing engineer. I don't drive tanks; before season 3, I maybe had a hour total driving a tank. In the last 2 days, I've had multiple games with 60+ kills where I stayed in the same tank all game, taking RPG after RPG like it's nothing.

You don't even need engineers to heal you anymore as long as you have emergency repairs equipped. If you do have someone repairing you, you can be really aggressive with the tanks, because they can out heal someone firing RPGs. Two engineers healing you means you're a god. On maps like Liberation Peak, it feels like it's not even worth trying to kill them. You need to spend all game pelting them with rockets, just for them to be back in a few minutes if you do manage to kill one. The Javelin is the only launcher that feels like it does enough damage to kill tanks, but it's hard to use on maps without open sight lines.

From what I've seen they play better on other game modes, but it's really killing Breakthrough for me, which is what I play 99% of the time.

Most consistent gun?

For REDSEC, I can't decide a main gun for it. I need something consistent with also decent close combat damage. KTS is very weak close and M16A4 requires you to spam left click, which can throw me off during stressful duration. Maybe the QBZ-192?

What’s a disliked map from past games that you would be interested in seeing remade?

I was impressed on how the devs were able to give Golmud Railway a fresh coat of paint and make it actually decently fun to play on compared to how it was back in BF4 which to be blunt, it sucked lol.

If there was any map from the older games that you did not like to play on before, but think could be improved upon in BF6, what maps would you choose to bring back and how you would proceed in updating it?
