It's crazy that we're probably only halfway through BF6's seasons and maps

If it ended today I would still look at it as a great Battlefield. But we're probably gonna get around 10 to 15 more great maps. I can't wait for season 5 and Vegas

Comparison of the new Hybrid suppressor

Since some people were confused of what this actually does compared to the long suppressor, the hybrid suppressors all incorporate the overall recoil reduction of the muzzle brakes which is a bit different than the long/lightened suppressors that improve recoil buildup/recovery. So all the hybrid suppressors incorporate the recoil buffs of both a muzzle brake and the long/light suppressors and seeing as the cheapest Hybrid is only 5pts more than the long, its a pretty good value for anyone thats trying to maximize recoil improvement. I only added the 30pt hybrid-L suppressor in this since the other 2 hybrids don't further reduce recoil and their points cost is tied into other buffs like hipfire/sway/sprint recovery so the recoil results should be the same. ADS test was done at 20m using a VCR with 40rd mag.

Please help me play Carrier Assault better

Is this just bad luck? My Conquest win percentage is 56%. I PTFO my ass off, have the most caps in the lobby almost every game. If the enemy carrier is breached first I immediately attack it. If ours is breached first I immediately defend it, even if it means redeploying, but every time it feels like it's 20 v 5 inside whichever carrier I'm on and they arm all the objectives within a minute or two or completely stonewall us from arming.

I want to love this game mode, but it keeps feeling like our team is spread too thin across all the different objectives. Any tips to help my team better?

EDIT: I just played again and it was the worst steamroll yet, so 2 for 8 now. I'm going back to Wake Island. 10 blueberries on the deck of the enemy aircraft carrier which wasn't breached while ours was breached and armed.

New Map

Is anyone that plays mainly infantry liking the new map? So far I am not jiving with it. I play mainly as anti vehicle but this map is like liberation peak at times with no way to get around them and flank. And standing still for a few seconds gets me sniped if I am trying to aim guide the AT at a heli.

Is it me, or is the map not worth it for infantry? So far I have only given up on Blackwell and Haganthal, but I don't want to give up if it is just a me problem.

Regarding the new jet accessibility mode

I’m seeing a lot of complaints from the upper 1% of jet players about the introduction of this setting. The common complaints I’m seeing are that it lowers the skill gap and that it trivializes the battlefield jet experience.

To be honest, as someone who is mediocre at best with jets, I don’t mind this change. I never played battlefield before bf6, so I don’t have the frame of reference of what flying was like in previous titles, but I know this: the flight experience is already rough in this game. Even with all the right key bindings and settings, hitting targets is hard and not getting locked on every ten seconds is even harder.

From a dev perspective, this setting makes perfect sense. Do you cater to the 1% of jet players, or the 99% who bring in the cash for the business? The sheer difficulty of learning how to fly the jets well (if you’re lucky enough to spam the enter button to even get the jet in the first place from cooldown) means that a significant aspect of the battlefield experience is locked out for most.

In my perspective, I think the upper 1% of skilled pilots are feeling threatened that they can’t steamroll newer pilots they way they used to. They’re going to have to try harder now because a lot more players now have a real chance. Only time will tell how this turns out. I could be wrong, but I applaud the devs for at least being brave enough to give it a try.

Furthermore, I’ve seen some proposals to balance this setting out by reducing the turning speed and overall mobility a little bit, which means the manual controls will have an edge and remain rewarding. I’m perfectly fine with that.

I know this is a loose string of ideas. I’m writing on my phone at work because I’m bored.

Change class UI made more complex?

Is this a bug or a change cause it is annoying as hell tonhave to go into customize to change class. I like to quickly change class based on what's happening and now I have a few extra buttons to fumble to respawn.

Why did they remove the Quick Swap Class feature in the new patch?

Before the latest patch, it was incredibly easy to switch between classes while waiting to spawn. You could just tap L1 or R1 to instantly adjust your loadout based on what was happening in the match.

Now, you have to manually enter the "Customize" menu, select your class, and back out. All the snapiness and fluidity of navigating the spawn screen is completely gone. A feature that used to be quick and useful now feels slow and tedious.

Does anyone know why they made this change? Was it intentional or an accidental bug? I really hope they bring quick swap back.

I'm sorry....

But if you didn't watch that trailer when the game loaded, hear the music and get a big ol smile on your face then I guess you didn't watch Top Gun as a kid or you might have a little sociopath issue to explore with your therapist.

Hopefully the game play keeps up the vibe...

edit: no shade intended young folk. I feel sorry for you if it doesn't give you the feels that it gives me! Top Gun was a phenomenon back in the day and probably still holds up today if you want to check it out 😀

Best guns to use the new suppressors on (first impressions/opinions)

From my short time playing and testing them, there's only a few guns I would have them as a mainstay for.

- QBZ (it already lacked muzzle device options, which limited its performance as an "accurate" carbine. 30-40 point works best for it)

- P-90 (there's a lot of space for pricy attachments since it can't run a foregrip and doesn't have a lot of expensive must-haves. 40-point works best, but you can easily get away with the 50-point option)

- Mini Scout (it works wonders in speeding up your sniper rifles recenter speed, but most require an additional 30-points to rechamber while zoomed. The mini-scout doesn't have this problem whatsoever. big recommendation on the 40-point)

- All DMRs (Same idea as the Mini Scout, but it also makes spamming more viable at range. 40-point works best for their use cases. Most worth using on the SVK and SVDM imo)

Overall thoughts on each option.

- 30 nerfing drawspeed on top of additional sway makes it somewhat undesirable for aggressive play unless you're rocking a carbine/smg. Some of this can be mitigated via proactive ADSing (which you should be doing anyways for the chunkier guns), but there comes a point where the slowdowns stack too heavily against you.

- 40 requires some attachment sacrifices, but the benefits can make it very much worth dropping a pricy foregrip or extended mag for. It's a Lightened Suppressor and a muzzle brake rolled into one after all.

- 50 requires cutting out too many attachment options that your gun may otherwise need for the sake of improving hipfire for your recoil-reducing suppressor.

Carrier strike

As someone who loved Titan mode in BF2142 I am happy that it is somewhat back in a modern BF. I just only hope that there will be more maps (They will probably add more if it will be popular I think).

So what do you like in this mode and what would you change?

How's everyone liking the Interdictor so far? Just got it to level 40 and have some thoughts.

Went over the specs on this yesterday, I was off on a couple details but to sum up: it has the highest max damage at 150, but the trade off is no ADS bolt, slowest ROF, slowest ADS, slowest reload, lowest carried ammo (36), lowest base mobility and lowest base control of any other sniper.

The upside though is unlike other snipers that need a chest shot in their sweetspot range for a one-shot kill, with its higher max damage the interdictor is a one-shot sweetspot kill to any part of the body, that range being 120-150m. Outside of that though, the higher max damage surprisingly doesn't mean higher damage anywhere else. It does the exact same damage as all the other 100 damage snipers (80 body/54 limb). They're also apparently not doing anything different for the ballistics of this new cartridge compared to the other 100 damage snipers as far as drag/drop are concerned. I tested it in the ZN5YC sniper range with its other closest velocity 100 damage Sniper the L115 (L115 927m/s , Interdictor 915m/s) and at the 550m target they both landed at identical 1.3 seconds.

Also this thing is very back-loaded for important mods. Long range ammo doesn't come in till lvl33. Range finder at lvl38, and the only suppressor doesn't even unlock until lvl39!

So overall, this is going to be a very niche sniper choice. They stacked a ton of nerfs into it and the only real buff it has is its sweetspot hits in a 30m window are all 1-shot, and not just chest shots. So I suppose theres definitely a place for this, I played a lot of breakthrough with it today as I usually do to level up guns and theres a couple spots like the roof above A objective on Empire, Lib Peak on attack to B obj, Bazaar shooting down into that big C chokepoint, where if you know your ranges and position yourself in the exact right spot then basically every time you pull the trigger and hit its a kill and its almost comical. Outside of that though, I can't see me running this too much on a conquest or escalation map where you really don't control your engagement distances like you can in BT, because really this whole gun is built entirely around its 30m sweetspot and outside of that its objectively just the worst one to use for any other situation. I do like having quirky niche guns though that you can just build a very situational playstyle around so Im glad its in the game. Would be great though if they did a little something for this to buff it to make up for how many nerfs it brings along. Like instead of that max damage number it also did a bit more base damage, or maybe made it so this new caliber had less drag/flatter trajectory than the others to lean into its whole long range angle. But how are you all liking it so far, I want to hear if anyone is having better luck with it or playing it a different way?

Anyhow, heres my build for it. Since theres no ADS bolt I definitely wanted to run an ADS grip and both fast mag and mag catch, anything you can do to increase the ROF on this is mandatory. And yes running the range-finder, this is just not going to be a sniper you want to run close with these specs, you will get wrecked 😄
