Today, the official Sony Store Germany updated the initial delivery date to November 16th.
As mentioned in other posts, some customers have also received new delivery windows for November. Additionally, Sony has stopped accepting pre-orders for the FX5 (body only).
So as far as I can tell, the delay has officially slipped into November. :(
Also, the German market updated its estimated delivery date to October 15th (Foto Erhardt and a few smaller retailers pushed it to October as well).
So mid-October really seems to be the earliest realistic window, especially since both the US and other EU markets are pointing to October too.

I’ve got a Update from Erhardt (Big German Vendor) for my camera, the first mail in August said the camera gets postponed till early September. I’ve ordert 45 Minutes after release. So quite early.
This is the Update from the 01.09.2026 (Translated to Englisch from German):
We haven’t forgotten about you and deeply regret that we haven’t been able to ship your order yet. Unfortunately, we will not be able to meet the previously announced delivery date. We apologize for this further delay and ask for your continued patience. We expect delivery in mid-September.
If, due to the long wait, you are no longer interested in the items, please let us know by providing your order number.
We will notify you by email as soon as the items are ready to ship.
