Anyone else on IOS App dealing with MP3s and MP4s?

I thought the new website was quite the improvement over the last (minus the You’ve got this sign which they’re hopefully adding back based on responses from the BF team) but when I download on the IOS app it’s a tossup whether it downloads MP4s (which is far better to organise on the app) or MP3s which is quite irritating as the previous app was exclusively MP4s. Now rather than skipping the interviews when I want to listen to the next story, I have to scroll through a wall of War Master Forest of Penitence to find the start of boundaries. I hope this gets fixed soon as it is extremely irritating, though we’re currently on update 3/7 so maybe this‘ll be fixed. Additionally, no search bar?

EDIT - Parts of the MP3s are just now not showing up in playlists either. Black and White Part One Track 3 just refuses to exist in a playlist, which is the only way I’d be able to play it without the music suite deciding to start playing halfway through Part Two by listening to the story standalone. I really hope this gets fixed as BF is how I get through my commute to work.

Honestly think it would make a good storyline

Just finished The Shadow Master. Lizzie Hopley is amazing as always, and I found the Shadow Master particularly compelling. It made me wonder about The Shadow Master’s possible appearance on-screen. Personally I don’t work with the Luminat as Missy died and I felt it was a fitting end for the Master. Tries to do good, and then gets stabbed in the back by themselves because they are so narcissistic and controlling.

I would’ve brought Sacha Dhawan in as post-Alex McQueen - an incarnation created as a result of the CIA’s meddling to bring McQueen’s Master on a mission in the past. McQueen was originally supposed to be executed so he could later be resurrected as Jacobi’ Master, but because of the CIA, he was wounded and regenerated into Dhawan. Because of this, The Spymaster now lives out a different future and eventually ends up where McQueen originally was defeated, and is himself defeated instead.

Anyway a very roundabout way of saying, I thought about the concept of bringing in the Shadow Master (around 5 Series after) Dhawan’s last story in this timeline as a ‘good’ Master who assists the Doctor akin to Romana on audio or River‘s appearances at various points during the Doctor’s adventures. I think this would’ve been a great way to have the Master continue his renegade existence while also leaving Missy’s narrative untouched while additionally giving us a chance to meet a ’good’ Master without messing with Missy‘s perfect end also.

A long post I know, but what do you think?

Just wondering in the sudden wake of Anthony Stewart Head’s death (RIP) should I get Excelis?

UPDATE: BOUGHT THE SET!

I’ve always been interested in these stories and love Anthony Stewart Head in any role he’s done. He’s honestly one of my favourite actors of all time and really sad that he’s gone. Also wished he’d done more Doctor Who as he genuinely seemed to love it and I think he would’ve made an amazing recurring villain, possibly the Master or the Monk. (Especially the latter up against 7!) So are the Excelis stories worth listening to for some ’new’ content with him for me?

Really don’t want this to come off as insensitive. This type of thing is just how I cope after someone I was quite fond of passes. Hearing them again makes it easier.

Little Things Like This Are Why I Love Big Finish

The marketing team is absolutely spot on. Not to mention the Youtube Team. I really hope the War Doctor Diaries continue as they’re some great BTS content (and if you’re collecting the audios, they make some great “special features” for digital playlists designed like a normal series disc!)
