Lost my CKD cat last night
Hi everyone first time I’m posting on here but I’ve been on this community for a while. My soul kitty Fred was diagnosed with late stage 3CKD in May 2022. He had been stable up until May of this year even though he would not let me give him fluids or eat the renal food. We had him on appetite, stimulants, and Cerenia. Needless to say, he progressed from stage three to stage four about two months ago and it was a slow decline then rapid I had to bring him to the ER last night because he was running around and meowing, and I could tell he was in discomfort it was time to say goodbye. I just wanted to post on here so people remember him. His name was Fred and he was the best boy he was a rescue at five years old and he was a dog in a cat’s body. I got him a year before Covid and it was a godsend because it was just me and him at home. This hurts so much but I know he is not suffering anymore.
