Funniest sitting position ever!

I have a D700 with an aperture issue, the lever is in the down position and will not stay up. I can still use manual lenses like those shown but with others there is a dim viewfinder.

I wondered if there are any auto focus lenses that would work in this case, or if there was an easy fix?

Spotted this cool looking spiral cloud on my way to work today. Can clouds form into a turned ribbon shape like this, or is it more likely an illusion from ground level?
