Hypothetically, you could only have one of the session drummers play on the whole discography.. Who's it going to be?

I always thought a black cow was essentially the same thing as a root beer float, but learned that it is different. I've heard some people say a black cow is just a root beer float with chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla, I've heard people say that it's a root beer float with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup, and I've heard people say that it doesn't have ice cream in it at all and instead is chocolate syrup and cream. It's all very confusing to me. Apparently there are a lot of regional variations as well.

Does anyone know if there is an original black cow, and does anyone have any idea what sort would've been drunk by the main character in the 1977 song? She 'staggers' home to her precious one, so is she drinking a boozy version? I know there are boozy black cows but I don't know if that was a thing yet in the 70s.

Such a great album. If you haven’t spent any time with it, I strongly recommend you do so. Less Steely Dan sounding than Don’s solo stuff. It’s really its own thing. Deep island midnight.

Mine was Glamour Profession, and damn that it still hits just like first time.

Huge car wreck. Her boyfriend is clearly dead. Instead of getting Snakehips medical attention our creepy narrator plainly kidnaps her. Scoops her up. Then plies her with decaf because she’s probably in a dazed stupor. I mean lets get real he aint driving her to the hospital…. Snakehips deserved better.
