Just got high with the weed I stole from a lesbian couple, so feel free to ask anything

My caterpillars have several tall plants around the milkweed to choose and make the chrysalis but idk why they love to do it specifically in this scabiosa, the plant is 3 meters away so no idea the reasoning behind

These guys showed up on my butterfly weed yesterday. They appear to be monarch larvae but they're only like 3/8 inch long. Where did they come from? Aren't they kind of late?

This tree is less than 4 years old and right after when we first planted it, a cat scratched the Southwest side. This is a schumered Oak in south east Texas. Fast forward a few years and the is terrible damage from hot sun on the scratch. I have wrapped the tree, but it bleeding through the wrap. What do I do?

I have heard of lime paint, but many say not. The tree has a constant highway of small black ants. Idk if that is related. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I just dont trust the suggestions from ChatGPT or even the internet. It there a tree guru out there?

I love snapdragons they are so easy to grow and flower so profusely. I grow several of the classic colours and patterns but never had one like that in my life. The funny thing? That one came from the classic cheap flower mix you get at the grocery store 😂
