PF outer cv joint clicks during full tilt left turn, good to roll for awhile?

11 Limited 3.5L, only clicks during full tilt left turn and not right hand turn. CV boot still in very good condition. Normally, replacing CV shafts on cars doesn't really bother me much. But everywhere I've been reading they say to replace in pairs. Well that's fine, but PF also says to replace intermediate shaft. But man $425 for both front and intermediate, never in my life have I ever spent that much replacing CV shafts in a car. Do you think I can skip the intermediate even after 150k miles?

P.S. I usually don't mind buying online for some things, but buying drivetrain components that often fail....I usually buy local for warranty purposes.

Between not being able to remove it if its not in a specific position. Which it never stops in that position. Of course.... and not being able to see if the rubber clamp stays in place. I did my old gm car in less than an hour and NEVER have to mess with it until the regulator fails again. The inner door panel has NO ACCESS, WHY. TELL ME WHY. 2011 FORD EDGE LIMITED. IS THERE A REVISED INNER DOOR PANEL THAT HAS INNER DOOR ACCESS? WHY DID THEY BOLT THE REGULATOR TO THE INNER DOOR PANEL? THIS IS SO STUPID
