Brand new to Starlink-should I keep backup?
Like the title says I just ordered my Starlink kit. The delivery is already delayed by up to a week and I just got notice that the price is going up by $10 a month starting in June. So far not impressed.
BUT my local internet has been ANYTHING but reliable lately and I work from home. I have a VOIC phone used to speak with clients and am in many Zoom calls each week. After being mostly down for 3 days last week I ordered Starlink as a last resort. I need very high speed AND reliable internet.
I’m reading so many negative things about Starlinks reliability now that I’m wondering if I need to keep my current cable internet as a backup. That means I’ll be spending $225 a month on internet! I live in Boise, so not remote and hopefully not congested. I only switched because this is my livelihood.
