Hello guys,

So I've been an FM player for about 10 years now. I have found this game to be the weakest in the series for me but I still try really hard to enjoy it.

I need help understanding how tactics actually work in this game because I'm 4 seasons into a save with Chelsea, I finished 3rd-1st-7th- currently 3rd. My tactics just seem so flakey and I don't understand why. Some games I dominate to the point the opposition doesn't have a shot, a week later with a fully rested team i struggle against a similar level team. I either get dominated or my team turn toothless. I'm having such a hard time with inconsistent games and it's one of the reasons I'm not a fan of this game as much.

I don't want my first post to be negative but it's going to have to be.

I've started a new club save tonight and the menus seem to be running horrendously, worse than at the start of the year. I played a lot for the first few months to get used to the new UI and I liked some of it and hated some of it like others.

Anyway, my issue here is when I go to look at the player database players don't load, it's just a blank section, when I look at ongoing transfers I can't click on the players name.

I'm basically just looking for any tips on how to fix/work around please.

So this post isn't for me but it is to help a buddy who doesn't like posting things on the internet.

Anyway his issue is is about 2/3 months old. When building SBCs, looking through menus or his club the game just freezes up and he either has to wait 2-5 minutes for it to refresh or restart his game. This is also noticeable when we play rush as he basically cant look through his club to pick a player that isn't in the 5 it offers you.

He is with Sky and has been for about a year but the issue started recently as I said but I have also seen others of reddit linking the issue the sky broadband.

Any help would be great

I don't want this to sound like the usual bitchy post that is probably 3/4 of what is on here but what is the way to play this game now? I feel like this is the worst moment of gameplay I have ever experienced. Since tots started I just lose, I am definitely getting worse at the game as I get older but this is the first time in 15 years of playing that the next game is unappalling and I frankly hope the greedy c**ts at EA get some competition soon because there is the most to ever do in a FC/FIFA title yet the game playing is dull and repetative, you get punished if you dont use the most meta shit. I traditionally sit in the top 2 divisions, I am currently getting close to going down to Div 5. Strangely my champs runs have only gone down one win but I just cant figure this game out. I get battered, I lose, a tight game, I lose, I batter my opponent I lose.

Any gameplay tips would be so appreciated
