Best Fishing Knot Tips
Looking to use more advanced lures fishing for smallmouth and black bass in the small ponds around me and have heard these work well. I bought one last week and tied it using a basic fishing knot, hit one snag, and the knot broke and I lost the lure. Went back to Bass Pro to pick up another one to go for another try. My questions are which fishing knot is best for a moderately heavy lure like this, and do I tie the knot on the ring that is attached to the actual head of the lure, or onto the ring that is attached to the ring on the head of the lure?
I have had success using a basic knot on lures like the green and yellow one, but when I tied my usual knot on the “swimmer” lure, it got lost in the weeds. I’m excited to use one of these “swimmer“ lures but I’m not very knowledgeable. Tips appreciated!
