Is this peacoat too big

Hi all. This is my first time in this subreddit. I just thrifted this Sterlingwear of Boston Navigator 34R. I feel like it's too big but some online guides say traditional peacoats are meant to be big, and the sleeves should cover part of my hands. I'd like to know your opinion. Thanks all!
