Moving from E-bike to Scooter/Motorbike in Melbourne: How are the trip fares and Quest rates looking right now?
Hi everyone,
I am currently delivering for Uber Eats in Melbourne using an E-bike, but I am planning to upgrade to a scooter/motorbike soon. I want to ask how the trip rates and Quest payouts for motorbikes compare to E-bikes right now.
To give you some context, here is what my current E-bike account is getting:
Base Fare: Around $5 AUD for a 1 km trip.
Weekly Quest: An extra $1.35 AUD per trip for completing 100 trips.
Flash Quest (Peak hours): An extra $45 AUD for completing a set number of trips between 4:30 PM and 9:30 PM.
Since I am switching vehicles on an existing account, I know I won't get any new driver promotions, but I am hoping the standard motorbike rates are better.
For those riding a scooter or motorbike in Melbourne:
What does your typical base fare look like for short vs. long-distance trips?
How are your Weekly Quests and Flash Quests structured lately? Are the payouts and job volumes significantly better than E-bikes?
Would love to hear your recent experiences before I make the switch. Thanks in advance!
