I'm not able to bear the pain anymore. Need advice

Hey there!

I'm 23F, have been experiencing sciatica for the past 9 to 10 months. It all started when I fractured my foot bone last year November and had casting for a month. During that time, I walked around without any support (not even crutches) and didn't bother much about it. I started to experience shooting pain in my left leg ( where I got fractured) from lower hip to calves. Lying down, sneezing, coughing, getting up from sitting, everything felt bad. After removing the cast, I went for PT sessions for 2 weeks which helped with pain. I wasn't fully cured but I was able to do daily activities. Days passed, I was back to normal life, doing normal stuff. But there was always some discomfort when I did anything physically (like walking for so long, climbing, running, slacklining) but the pain will be gone within 1 or 2 days on its own.

Last month end I was down with Dengue. It got so bad I had to get admitted in the hospital for 3 days. I was in bed rest completely. Right after my discharge, I felt discomfort in my left lower back. Didn't care much because it always goes away in 2 days. But this time the pain started to get worse. It went to a point where I couldn't do anything, even lying down wasn't helping. I went to a ortho and took MRI. Found that my L4-L5 disc extrusion which is pinching L5 nerve and L5-S1 disc protrusion pinching S1 nerve and L3-L4 disc protrusion. Doc said I can try going for PT for a week but if the pain is not reducing, I should consider getting surgery. I went for PT 5 days, pain for little better (it went from 9/10 to 7/10) on my 6th day the pain got worse again, back to 9/10. I went to another ortho for 2nd opinion and he mentioned Surgery is the best option for my case, especially since I'm experiencing extreme pain. I got so scared that I went for 3rd opinion with a ortho surgeon, and he said I should wait for atleast 2 more week and see if there's any improvement with the pain, if not they will do selective nerve root block injection, if that also didn't help with the pain, then surgery is the only way.

I have been taking multiple meds for the past 2 weeks.

Currently I'm taking: 1. Hifenac (aceclofenac + paracetamol) 2. Neugaba (Mecobalamin + Pregabalin) 3. Ultracet (Paracetamol + Tramadol)

I'm taking Hifenac and Ultracet 3 times a day, Neugaba 2 times a day prescribed for one week. This helps 90% of my pain, but I don't see the point of taking all these meds to just manage my pain but doing nothing (like PT).

I'm seriously considering having a surgery but I'm too scared. Is anyone who has experienced something similar as mine? What has helped you? I want to get off this feeling of thinking I have to deal with this pain for life. This pain is extremely bad, I couldn't stand or walk (I could stand for like a min and walk max 20 steps), sleeping is painful, only bending forward and sitting helps. I need advise.

Confused between offers 🥲

Hey there! After struggling for over 6 months, I finally got 2 offers from different organisations. I'm working in project management and recently completed my CAPM exam. First, I got an offer as a vendor to a leading multinational consulting company. The contract is for a year and they will renew the work order as per requirement after a year for 5.5LPA fixed ( no variable) Secondly, I got another offer from one of the big4 as full time employee, 5.5 LPA including variable but 4.5 is fixed. I have 2.4 years of experience overall. I'm pretty confused what I should choose in between there two. One has good salary as well as good organisation but contract basis and another one is a permenent employment in one of the big4 but less pay if I see monthly wise. Any advice would be much helpful :) thanks!

Passed!!! AT/T/AT/AT

First off, I did AR's course from udemy but didn't really pay attention throughout the course (saw them in 1.5x speed) and paid attention to critical path and EVM topics.

Second, I purchased pocket prep for a month and did around 500 - 600 questions. I used pocket prep just to know which topics I'm weak at. Scored roughly between 80% to 90%.

Lastly, purchased Landini's book from kindle and did all the practice questions sections. Landini's questions are a little tricky, it makes you think a lot and makes you doubt yourself 😭 I scored between 60% to 75% on most of the sections. Used GPT to explain the answers where I went wrong.

Revised all the topics in the morning of my exam with gpt. The exam was a lil tougher than I imagined. Half way through the exam, thought I might fail and boom!!! Saw congratulations on my screen after submitting. Thanks to this sub, helped with my preparation a lot :))

Scored 76% in Landini's mock up, am I ready?

Hey there! I have my exam in 5 hours and I took Landini's 150 questions mock up last night and scored 76% I'm too scared that I'm not ready for the exam. Any tips to make myself prepared before my exam? Or am I doomed?

Hello there! I'm giving my capm exam in 4 days. Currently I'm taking mock test in pocket prep paid version and saved up landini test book latter part ( will start using it from day after tomorrow) I completed AR's course but honestly I didn't pay attention throughout the course except to understand critical path and EVM topics. I took the first 3 Landini's 50 question test and scored 59%, 75% and 62%. With pocket prep I scored 84% in the 150 mock up test and scored between 70 to 85% in 50 question tests. I realised I'm answering good with PMI mindset situational questions but lacking knowledge mostly with topics like different diagrams, graphs, documents, etc ( for example, which type of diagram can be used after brainstorming sessions)

I'm using GPT for the questions I don't understand.

I want to know how I can get better at this😭 I'm genuinely scared I might fail in this exam

I have body hair all over my body (in my back, bum, like literally everywhere, long and thick). Growing up with body hair, I faced a lot of bullying from both men and women. I'm 22 now and I have waxxed my legs and arms thrice in my entire life and I hate that I did. Although I want to normalise having body hair on women, I fear to step out wearing a sleeveless or shorts (but very few times, I do step out with shorts to hang out near my place). Looking at women who has body hair makes me feel more empowered, confident and I admire them a lot. But when it comes to me, I gross out, I feel insecure to even step out sometimes (esp if I have to meet new people). Women who don't shave their body anymore, how did you become more comfortable with your body?
