Missing Threedom
Hiatus! I don’t mind a Threevisiting on the Tues. Reliving old thrighlights?! Ah, chef’s kiss.
I will admit to feeling a bit of resentment to the latest string of 2016 live shows being parceled out to us lowly pisspigs, only because the quality can vary. And of course! It’s live! I’ve still listened to each and every one, but I can’t say I look forward to them in the same way.
Now, Live in Vancouver with Dan Mangan? She floored me. I grinned, I leaned into uncomfortable pauses, I giggled at our inside jokes. I had spent a tour with them Threedom Boys and come out the other side with eyes wide open. “I Will” in the middle of the episode had me grinning from ear to ear. Dan and John Lennon were having the MOST fun and performing with a contagious joy. The playfulness of the entire episode is divine.
Someday the Threedom gang may cease to be. I am quite grateful that so many of the moments they’ve made are in recorded form.
