So I was kinda burnt out of Dream of the Nioh, so I decided to replay Nioh 2 from NG1 on a new save, and it's really fun seeing how much or my growth is in player skill and not just more levels and better gear. Stuff that used to be super tough for me is just like, not that hard because I know what I'm doing now. It's really fun.
Anyone else kind of burn out of Nioh 2 around dream of the wise/nioh? I feel like I rushed things too fast and I didn't really enjoy each difficulty so by the time I reached the real endgame where things are supposed to be fun I was just totally burnt out? I'm thinking of letting by interest in Nioh build back up by going to play Rise of the Ronin or Stranger if Paradise tbh, because just, I feel like I'm not up for doing the same grind again.
Okay, so I've hit Dream of the Wise, and got myeslf a 6-piece susanoo-set, and a legendary shogun set, at +20 I think? My weapons are at +24, my clan is toyotomi, I'm going w/ baku or yumehami, whicherver one gives me the ki damage buff. But the thing is, I'm proccing confusion slowly, and I am stuck on enenra for ages rn, I just cannot deal enough damage to kill him in less than an hour, and then he kills me. Any advice? Apparently I've seen some posts here suggesting I swap from toyotomi to Oda or Honda for either longer confusion or first hit damage reduction, and then put extra ki damage on all my gear? Also, what soul cores do I put on the ki damage GS to maximize? Obviously Ippon, but what else? Do I focus on ki damage *or* confusion or try to do both? like, try to proc purity/corruption +1 other status, or just go for purity/corruption, and then go for maximizing ki damage? also, any reccomendations for secondary GS's other than Oh?
Okay, so like, I started DOTD after kinda demolishing DOTSr, and it's way hader, which I expected because I read on here a lot. I've got a confusion/purity setup, I've got versatility up, (my other set is ebisu for passive farming). What's like, really making DOTD hard is that I keep getting winded and then combo'd in like two hits? What's the play here, do I need to improve my Ki regain or anima gain to never stop comboing, flux II, or do I have to buff my defense to give me more room for error? I've got like, +11 armor and +15 weapons, if that helps, running GS ho-oh and oh
I've started ng+ and even with like, +5 divine weapons and armor I do very little damage and die extremely quickly. Is there something I'm missing? Do I need to be focusing on proccing confusion a lot or something? I remember NG+1 in Nioh 2 was not this hard, it was a lot smoother.
