Did you enjoy Nioh 3?

I played the first two games and really like them. Did you like the newest one, 3?

It’s on sale right now, I’m thinking about picking it up.

So this serie is about finding OP combos right ?

Testing nioh2 since it seems to be well liked by the souls community.

Trying the axe for the moment and I'm surprised by the lack of responsiveness of enemies and bosses.

Spacing the first combo (or counter it) then just mashing a combo seems to stagger nearly infinitely the enemy, to the point that I'm feeling like doing a wow rotation on a dummy.

Is this supposed to be normal or later bosses will be able to snap out of it ?

Also I tried flying monkey but this seems really subpar, any chance this playstyle shine up later with more levels ?

Ninja style is systemically under supported

It's clear that the intent is that both samurai and ninja style's are equal to each other but following their own logics. However this design shift to de-elevated ninja to an equal level with samurai nerfed ninja style's toolkit (ninjutsu).

It's also clear that both styles are supposed to have equitable systems (like mist ≈ ki pulse, evade ≈ deflect). However, Samurai style has multiple extra systems that ninja style lacks parity with.

- example: one of the loading screen tips will tell you to combine mist + jutsu (akin to how frostmoon is performed) will produce additional utility, yet nothing happens.

Lastly, ninja style is supposed to compress a lot of utility of the samurai style, the obvious trade-off being it being a limited, not a complete compression. The jutsu slots are supposed to make up for the lack of the other 2 stances of samurai style. However, because ninjutsu was nerfed when it should have been given more utility, ninja style's ratio of compression is off terribly.

- The fact that there is a preponderance of effects that affect melee actions rather than jutsu, makes the compression of utility of even more off.

LET ME BE CLEAR - I AM NOT CALLING NINJA STYLE WEAK, NOR AM I SAYING YOU CANT BEAT THE GAME WITH JUST NINJA STYLE.... THATS NOT WHAT THIS IS ABOUT. I'm talking about systems that add depth to combat, not power

Concerns before buying

Hey everybody. I am looking into buying nioh 3 on PC. I can't put down the demo, something keeps drawing me back. Here is my concern. I see a lot of very recent reviews on steam saying the game has a vram leak and once you get further into the game it lags really badly and one person even reported it overheating their GPU.

Frankly, these suddenly mixed reviews seem very suspicious to me.

So here is whats up. I have a ryzen 9700x CPU, an Nvidia 5070 GPU, 32 gb ddr5 ram. And a solid state storage.

Is this game going to run like the demo or not? Cheers and thanks on advance for the replies.

Nioh 2 - mystic art not unlocking

This is making me crazy - I have cleared the mission "amThr Tengu's Blade" (twice now), I have 3 Odachi skill points, yet the Mystic arts are still red. Is this a bug? How do I fix it?

I unlocked the Double Blades one no problem, but the Odachi one just refuses to unlock. :(

Nioh bug hepl

Hey guys, my Nioh is bugged, the techniques and some items aren't showing up, does anyone know how to fix it? Note: I tried the trick of putting the weapon in place of the equipment. It didn't work.

Question about Nioh 2 DLCs

I'm new to team ninja games, only played Stranger of Paradise before. So in Stranger of Paradise it's been mandatory to grind levels and gears to proceed in DLCs. Is Nioh 2 DLCs work the same way?

For context: I finished base game NG yesterday.

Nioh 3 pc performance questions

Hello! From what i've read and understood, majority of people are having performance issues on Nioh 3 (PC) even with parts like 7800X3D / 9070XT / 9800X3D / 4090, etc.

People have said they can't keep stable 120fps with FSR / DLSS on, on 1440p resolution. So i'm going to ask you all, how does the game run on your pc?

To me, it's ABSURD that we paid 70€ for a game, which doesn't run 120fps with top end parts with FSR / DLSS on.

I have R5 5600X / RX6900XT /2x8 3200mhz cl16 ram, 1440p resolution med / high settings FSR on, and i can't keep stable 60fps locked! Fps dips from 60fps ---> to 40-50fps whole the time and it annoys me so much.

Team ninja should do something about it. Otherwise the game is good.

List your specs, resolution, and how does the game run on your pc. Does it stay stable 60fps? Locked 120fps? Do you have stutters, bugs?

Nioh 1 vs Nioh 3?

I have multiple thousands of hours in Nioh 1. All the DLCs and all the new game + and ++ and so on.

Ive tried Nioh 2 but quit it after a short amount of time. The increased enemey variety and yokai abilities killed it fo me. A lot of stuff felt too hard, much because of the enemy variety also, to not be using yokai abilities which i hated because i enjoy killing stuff with the basic combat. I just want to learn their few movesets because i dont have time, energy or braincapacity anymore to learn so much

The only thing i disliked about 1 was the amount of gear there is in inventory and all the farming & grinding needed. Everything else, for me, was perfection

So, how does 3 compare to 1?

How forge divine on PC Keyboard/Mouse?

I am on Dream Of The Demon. PC, Keyboard/Mouse.

I can't forge divine stuff. Only the "normal" materials and weapons are shown, but nothing green or divine.

How can i forge divine?

EDIT: Solution: while hovering over the forge button, I have to press MIDDLE MOUSE BUTTON and then I can add a certain number of Divine Fragments.

Screenshot:

Nothing divine in the menus

I think I finally understand why Nioh 3 fell flat for those who love 2

I just got to Kashin after tokichiros fight while he’s possessed. An incredible fight. The final boss of nioh 3 was great but can’t even compare to this and this isn’t even the final boss

Overall I think the story of Nioh 2 has just been more compelling, but I still love 3. This might be my new favorite boss ever

[Nioh 3] Can anyone recommend a good farming spot in the Warring States?

I'm about to go fight Takeda Shingen but would like to farm a bit first, i'm changing my stat set up to suit dual ninja swords and I need a lot more levels.

I wondered if there's any recommended spots in the Warring States region that is worth using to farm for amrita?

Nioh 3 Splitstaff, is it good?

I've been reading up on Nioh 3's splitstaff and a lot of people seem to dislike it and say it's lackluster. The game has been out for awhile now is this still the main consensus or has the splitstaff experience improved?

I've been messing around with it in eternal rift just trying out combos and what not, I was maining the claws but I love the look of the splitstaff.
