Removing silver skin before smoking beef plate ribs?

What's the general consensus on silver skin for beef plate ribs? Remove, leave, or score? I've cooked them about 3-4 times and I honestly cannot remember what I've done in the past since it's been a couple years. But I now have two nice sets to smoke this weekend with nice weather in the way.
