IRCC PORTAL CORRUPTION- had this happened to anyone?
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for experiences from people who have had a spousal sponsorship application returned through the PR Portal.
Our application was submitted by our representative, and after waiting almost two months for AOR, IRCC returned it and stated that the application had not been accepted into processing.
When we looked at the returned application, the birth certificate upload appeared blank. Our representative says he had the correct birth certificate in his upload folder and believes the PR Portal likely corrupted the file during upload. He says this has happened in other cases and that it would not have been possible for him to intentionally upload a blank document when he had the correct file.
Has anyone actually experienced this with the PR Portal where a PDF/document appeared fine when uploaded but later showed up blank when IRCC reviewed or returned the application?
If this happened to you:
- Did IRCC preserve your original submission date?
- How quickly did you receive AOR after resubmitting?
- Did IRCC confirm that it was a portal/upload issue?
- Was your application technically considered “returned as incomplete,” or was it handled differently?
I’m not concerned that this is a refusal, I understand it isn’t. My concern is whether we have potentially lost almost two months of processing time and whether portal upload corruption is genuinely something others have experienced.
Thanks!
