I just finished the anime today...

https://preview.redd.it/i1mrtml3s5uh1.png?width=821&format=png&auto=webp&s=c38645c4960412b9406d0d6e8aeb8919437969b8

First things first, happy 20th anniversary, as it's still Oct 7 at the time I'm writing this.

I started this anime 4 months ago. This anime was (and is) AMAZING!! I'm glad I picked this up. This anime really is underrated, and deserves more love!

Should this series get a remake, I GUARENTEE it will do numbers!!

One thing I really like about this show is the way it makes its use of character development!

Take Tsuna, for example. This man started as a miserable middle schooler with barely any morals in life or any motivations (iirc). Even now, he still acts like a loser, but he's WAYYYY more confident now. Back in episode 202, he got shot by one Byakuran's needle bullets (forgot what it was called) IN BASE FORM!! HE WASN'T EVEN IN HIS DEATHPARATION FORM, YET HE STILL GOT UP!!!

I guess you could say he was "reborn"... 😉 (corny Ik)

After I upload this post, I'm definitely finna read the manga from where the anime left off. Ik I'm most likely finna see more and BETTER character development moments!

"Chrome Dokuro" is literally a rearranged name of "Mukuro Rokudo"

https://preview.redd.it/bakis25ybtkh1.png?width=375&format=png&auto=webp&s=ccc5ec095afbae196db21906e78eabf602540aa1

I JUST picked this up, so idk if it was already discussed on this sub, but LEMME BREAK IT DOWN!

The first name "Chrome" is pronounced in Japanese, "Kuromu". Try to flip that around, and you get "Mukuro".

The same goes for the last name too, "Dokuro". Flip it around, and what do you get??

ROKUDO!!! 🤯

Again, if this was already mentioned on this sub, or any where else online, then I apologize. I just picked this up while watching the show. But lmk what y'all think ⬇️

So I was taking a look back at Egghead and I realized... Franky & Vegapunk had NO INTERACTION at all whatsoever!

https://preview.redd.it/xu2vjfwxd2ih1.png?width=738&format=png&auto=webp&s=e0308e3ba6398ee1958ab6cbb434361e08c1d7b8

We all know that Franky is a fan of Vegapunk's creations. He loves his content SO MUCH, in-fact, that he literally became half cyborg. When we came to Egghead, I was expect them to either make some creations together, or AT LEAST have some decent interactions... WE DIDN'T GET NONE OF THAT!! I don't even remember a single scene of Franky interacting with any of Vegapunk's satellites.

The only scene I can recall was when Luffy went Gear 5 against Awoken Lucci, and right as soon as Vegapunk came in the lab, you had Franky looking over talking about some:

https://preview.redd.it/vjspjel0f2ih1.png?width=859&format=png&auto=webp&s=c58f25a3edabefe806280cbd50f84db3eaf434b7

(Mind you, Franky like 39 years old. You a grown ass man sticking your tongue out, just cuz a real 🥷🏽 come in the room... But then again Vegapunk is literally the smartest person in all of One Piece & he look nothing his first silhouette from chapter 684, so it is what it is 🤷🏽‍♂️)

If there's anything that I've either missed or got wrong, feel free to inform me down in the comments ⬇️

Now that we are entering the Final Saga, what is/are something(s) that y'all would like to see before the end of the series?

https://preview.redd.it/73hodh1z3wgh1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=9f2d88a939fd0ba6e2dab80206ed7b86d3305b9e

For me, personally, it's two things:

  1. The Void Century flashback:

I wanna see what played out - How strong was Joyboy? Who were the 20 kings (18 actually, cuz ik one of them was Lili & the other was Imu)? What crime did Zunesha commit? Why are him and Emett apologizing to Joyboy?

  1. More God Valley information:

I'm ngl, the God Valley flashback was cool & all, but I felt as if there was a lot of stuff that hasn't been revealed to us yet. Remember that it was being told through Loki's POV (If I'm wrong about this, lmk down in the comments). I actually think the God Valley situation would be better told through Garp's POV, considering that he's one of the few ppl that was ACTUALLY there AND is still alive in the series.

But lmk what y'all got down in the comments below ⬇️

I had a theory that Imu is a D. Clan member

DISCLAIMER: Assuming that there's gonna be some noticeable flaws, I will take any criticism in the comments (aside from those that'll say I didn't watch/read the series 😑)

Every single one of the D. clans had a different purpose!

Now to understand this theory, we gotta talk about the original Romance Dawn.

https://preview.redd.it/46m4e3dsbsfh1.png?width=371&format=png&auto=webp&s=bf974b69eebb9dbb3de44d5f7de62892b394a092

For those who didn't know, this was One Piece before One Piece became One Piece. And in it, Oda came up with a lot of the original concepts that he would later go on to use for the current One Piece that we all love and watch. But one thing he didn't include in the current story were two type of pirates:

  • Morganeers: Pirates, like BlackBeard, who just go around pillaging and conquering (pretty much what regular pirates would do)
  • Peacemains: Described as pirates who go on adventures by feasting on the Morganeers

But when Oda made One Piece, he flipped the script and decided to make the Morganeers become the Peacemains, while the Peacemains become the Morganeers. Kinda like a lil Domi Reversi reference. Here's a good example of this:

BlackBeard feeding on WhiteBeard (who's a Peacemain) back in Marineford

What I'm getting at is that when Oda decided to sit down and write One Piece, he switched it so that the Morganeers can feed on the Peacemains, instead of the other way around. This makes sense, considering the fact that the evil pirates would be feeding on the good pirates.

So how do the D. Clan fit into this?

Well if we look back into (and break down the information of) the myth of the First World, the information would tell us that the D. Clan has most likely broken off into different sects as time has gone on.

https://preview.redd.it/27wmpew2fsfh1.png?width=445&format=png&auto=webp&s=2ccc3b697e1555aba84c9d8cc8ccc010722a596e

Furthermore, we can also take into consideration that Davy Jones either "came up with", or "learned" about his ancient lineage on how to take the Will of others. The Davy clan, in particular, specialized as Morganeers who feasted on the will of the Peacemains, and took their powers to get even stronger.

Now you're probably wondering, "if the Davy clan can do this, why can't the other D. Clans do the exact same thing?"

My theory is that just like how the Davy clan can take will out of something, whatever clan Joyboy is from can put their will INTO things. This is why I think Imu has the giant straw hat on ice in Marijoa. Because remember, the reaction that Imu had when Joyboy's Haki was unleashed in Egghead. The reason why the Haki was released was due to a certain condition that was met: that being the rope had to be pulled apart. So I believe that if the giant straw hat gets unfrozen, all of the Haki stored inside of it gets released. Imu is probably keeping it as a memento under a lock and key so that the same Haki that had him shivering his timbers and potentially damage him cannot get released.

https://preview.redd.it/819ob4ebfsfh1.png?width=649&format=png&auto=webp&s=90740652e54828f6db73dc32c5b0984baf9704a7

Because I would bet... that Imu is also a D. Clan member! And the power of this D. Clan is "Black Magic"!

I didn't just pull this outta my ass either. If we look back in the VERY FIRST Romance Dawn, Luffy is seen bouncing back the bullets that were shot at him, having the other pirates questioning if it was Black Magic or not.

https://preview.redd.it/xss5qm8fgsfh1.png?width=347&format=png&auto=webp&s=13e6653084f6e77d83ca45c52db252b3cfe3dd8c

MIND YOU, the person who shot those same bullets was the captain of the opposing pirates himself. And it wasn't stated that he ate a devil fruit, he could just cast spells, fly, and do all these random things by himself.

I think that Oda gave all this Black Magic power to Imu, and we can literally see this in Elbaf with the Domi Reversi ability itself! So it's not outside of the realm of possibility to say that Imu has used Black Magic to seal Joyboy's Haki inside the hat and freeze it. And if we're being completely honest, these are the only people the verse that can do this as of right now.

Also considering that Marshall D. Teach is also "Davy D. Teach", there are also 8 D. Clans. If Marshall isn't the 9th D. clan, this means that we're still missing one. Whatever that 9th clan is, I think that 9th clan is Joyboy's.

https://preview.redd.it/6sp12q9ohsfh1.png?width=643&format=png&auto=webp&s=8bc6ebec721753cf221b56cb2f6a9c63123dc987

If we take a look at Nika's shield, these circles represent the original 9 D. Clans, those who carry on the will of D.

With that being said, the sect in particular-these Morganeers, this Davy Clan-decided to go against Nika eventually and take the power for themselves. Which just goes back to keep in mind of how Joyboy willingly died so that Davy Jones can take his powers.

So now that begs the question: what were the D. Clans purposes?

https://preview.redd.it/xdbak81bisfh1.png?width=240&format=png&auto=webp&s=d5065c5863938c584f7c8a3c2cecb04e3184e9b5

Personally, I think that they were lost to time. But here's what I believe:

  • Nefeltari - Lore keepers
  • Trafalgar - Ocean protectors
  • Cloud - Sky Protectors
  • Jaguar - Land Protectors
  • Monkey - Forest/jungle/landscape protectors
  • Gol - Treasure protectors/seekers (or maybe seeked out treasure for Nika)

But these are very surface level, so lmk what y'all think of them.

One last point I want to bring in attention of Peacemains Vs. Morganeers continuing over to the current One Piece manga...

https://preview.redd.it/60mf9uh7jsfh1.png?width=335&format=png&auto=webp&s=eaaf019fdd6c1d273ab1ccabcf552775ad26bcc8

GARP was originally a PEACEMAIN PIRATE!!

Additionally, HE is also the one who NOT ONLY gave Luffy the Gum-Gum fruit, describing it as the "Fruit of Dreams"... but also while WEARING the STRAW HAT!!

This means to me that the Peacemains are a stand in for the D. Clan. Specifically, this one D. Clan that passes down their dreams to the next generation.

...Or should I say, "passing on their WILLS to the next generation"!

But that's all I got to say for this theory, lmk what y'all think of this in the comments ⬇️

I bet this show had a lot of Bleach allegations 💀

I just reached episode 92, and I just seen Future Squalo.

Superbia Squalo (10 years later)

Bruh, is it just me, or does he look like...

Ukitake Juushirou

Yamamoto don't make it no better either 💀 I made a post a couple days ago about how Yamamoto became my fav character in the show, and I mentioned that every time he locks in, he look like a Bleach or Kuroko No Basuke character. Even his future self looks like a light skin Aomine 🤣

Yamamoto Takeshi (10 years later)

Aomine Daiki

And to add the cherry on top (which was also mentioned in the comments of that Yamamoto post), there's Gamma...

Gamma

Kuugo Ginjou

OH, AND I DEFINITELY CANNOT FORGET THIS GUY TOO!

Glo Xinia

Uryuu Ishida

Szayelaporro Granz

I might be wrong on that last one, but lmk what y'all think 😁

Takeshi Yamamoto has became my fav character in this show!

Takeshi Yamamoto

I think Yamamoto is prolly one of the funniest characters in the show. EVERY TIME this man hops on the screen, he always thinking they "playing mafia" 😂 Mind you that at the time I'm writing this post, I'm currently on episode 34, which is the start of the Varia arc. Meaning that at this point, he's already received the magical bat from Reborn that switches to a sword just from a fast swing.

Also it might just be me, but whenever he locks in, he gets the face of a Bleach character 💀 I actually even took a *small* peek at the 10 year future arc, and this man's future self look like he belong in Bleach or Kuroko's Basketball. Just take a look at the photo below:

Takeshi Yamamoto (10 years later)

DOES HE NOT LOOK LIKE A FUSION BETWEEN AOMINE, KAGAMI, & MAYBE A FEW BLEACH CHARACTERS!!??

Maybe I might just be yapping 😅 But lmk wut y'all think about him in the comments ⬇️

My opinion on Katekyou Hitman REBORN so far...

Tbh the reason I got into this show was because I heard that it was getting a remake soon, due to it's recent 20th anniversary. Mind you: I never watched this show before. After looking at some of the reviews, I decided to give it a try (currently at ep 4 at the time I'm writing this). And I'm not gonna lie... THIS SHOW FUNNY ESHIT 🤣🤣

For example, in ep 2, we see Gokudera (even tho his first on screen appearance is ep 1). Near the end of the episode, they start to have a lil match. After Tsuna gets shot with the Deathperation and cancels out his dynamites, Gokudera starts to get more serious. But then tell me why when he pulls out his triple set of dynamites and accidentally drops one, he then accidentally drops the rest talm bout some, "The End of Me..." 💀 Then after it ends, Gokudera says, "You even spared someone like me"... AS IF IT WAS SOME KINDA SUICIDE ATTACK 🤣 (even tho he is a literal walking bomb)

Anyways, I did some research, and I found out that the anime stopped at 203 episodes due to it catching up to the manga at the time (ep 203 animated chapters 281-282 and the manga was at 308 chapters at that point). Now idk how far ima get thru with the anime, but ik that ima definitely enjoy ts 💯

I'm curious about you guys' experience with this show tho 👀
