PSA: careful changing wheels if your tool box is loaded
Almost died, not joking. I did a stupid thing. Was changing the wheels on my 56" top + bottom. Jacked it up, but didn't lock the drawers.
I was doing the 3rd wheel and a drawer started to open. I tried to push it back quickly, but it was too late. Yes I had Jack stands under it, but because of the forward momentum it was useless.
If you're changing wheels on a stacked top+bottom, then fully unload the toolbox first, including removing the drawers, and then proceed with extreme caution.
I was screaming for help for about 40 minutes before my wife came home and ran around screaming for my neighbors to come help. I feel so bad, she was terrified and shaking.
Top box, side cabinet and end locker are all fine or easily salvageable; however that bottom box is completely fucked. With that said, I probably won't be able to walk tomorrow, and I'm covered in gashes and my left leg is swelling as we speak, but I'll gladly take a fucked bottom box and a few injuries in exchange for being alive.
Don't be me, don't be stupid. Stay safe HF subreddit.
