So, I'm working on my costume for the Ren Faire this year. I had bought a cheap one from Amazon a few years ago, and decided I wanted to shine it up. I started with beads, since that's what I'm comfortable with. But I really wanted to add a pattern to my skirt, and knew that using beads would make it impractically heavy.

So I thought, well, embroidery was a big thing back then, why not try that? I found a stitch that looked neat with a google search, watched a tutorial video, and got going.

Y'all, this is all I've accomplished after 6 hours of work! I don't know why I thought embroidery would be quick, but damn, do I have respect for all of your amazing creations and most importantly, your patience!

Hey guys! This is my biggest project yet, and my first time adding beads to clothing (I usually make jewelry). I've drawn a pattern for what I want to do, and picked out my beads. In the picture you can see the border design I started with on the sleeve. (I know it's a little wonky, I actually like it that way.)

My question is, when I finish this border, should I switch to the other sleeve and do the border there? Or should I move on and finish the design on this sleeve and then move to the other sleeve and start over?
