ADHD videos, audiobooks, and resources?

I’m in my mid 20s and pretty sure I might have ADHD, but I’ve never really looked into assessment or treatment before. I mostly just tried to manage things myself with routines, planners, reminders etc.

During school focus, impulsivity, and emotional outbursts were definitely a thing growing up, but I always managed to scrape by with very average grades. Lately though, since trying to learn to drive, I’ve noticed the anxiety, overwhelm and disorganisation getting a lot worse and it’s becoming harder to ignore.

I want to understand ADHD a bit better before I decide whether to pursue an assessment, but I’m also trying not to fall too deep into the social media/algorithm rabbit hole where suddenly every part of my personality gets labelled ADHD.

Does anyone have recommendations for actually good resources? Preferably audiobooks, podcasts or YouTube channels/videos that are informative without being too doom-and-gloom? Thanks heaps!

Driving and ADHD?

Hey guys, I suspect that I have ADHD and only started to learn to drive now in my early adult years since moving to a city with worse public transport. I am struggling with distractibility and feeling that there are too many things to focus on while I learn to be safe on the road.

My friend's parents are happy to teach me in their car but I am not sure I have the confidence for this. I tried watching lots of videos to prepare but trying to remember all the advice is kind of overwhelming.

I typically have to listen to audiobooks in order to not get overwhelming boredom when I do chores and gym usually but am worried about doing this while driving.

Not sure if this all makes sense?
