Next under the spotlight is the voice of our warrior monk mommy- Maggie Baird! She may not be mother to ardat-yakshi in real life, but she is the mother of Billie Eilish! Talent must run in the family, because she does a great job bringing a calm, somber, dedicated, and caring vibe all-in-one to the character!

Our spotlight has been stolen by a thief! But it's our favorite thief, Kasumi! Kym Hoy does her voice, and while she doesn't get as much time to shine as the others, she does great work with the time she has.

I decided I would do a playthrough where I didn't recruit Wrex (terrible, I know.) But I was curious about how Wrex-centric scenes would play out without Wrex. I'm very familiar with how things play out if he's dead, but having never actually squaded up with him? That could have interesting effects later in the series.

Swiftly moving our spotlight onto the voice of our sweet but deadly drell- Keythe Farley! He brings a heavy introspective vibe to the character that I think works wonderfully.
What do you think of his performance?
It's been a while since I did a mod showcase, but this is a great one to return with! This mod turns Mass Effect into a first-person shooter!
While I generally prefer third person, especially for Mass Effect, the mod is just a fun way to experience the games with a fresh perspective! It really makes a playthrough feel different.

I understand why some games have character romances locked behind specific player genders, but I always prefer when a game makes its characters player-sexual, because it adds more variety in the way that you can play. Cora is a good example of this, because I think her romance is great, but I only play FemRyder really, so it's a shame to have to use a mod for this pairing.
Next in our spotlight is the character with a spotlight for a head! (I'm sorry that feels racist) DC Douglas plays our Geth buddy, and he does a great job at giving him a voice with a lack of personality while also making him feel real.
What do you think of his performance?
If we saw one squadmate take up a big role in a future game to expand on their story, my pick would be Kasumi.
She had a mini arc in the trilogy, but not a major journey for her character to go on. Definitely in large part to originally being a DLC character. For that reason I definitely feel like there's room for her story to be continued without feeling like it's ruining her growth. I think there's more room for growth!
EDI and James are good second choices imo. EDI feels like her story has only just begun, and same with James, however it seems his story is headed in a leadership position, which would make having him as a squadmate again counterintuitive. Though it's not impossible.

For our next look under the spotlight, we turn to Courtenay Taylor, the voice of Jack! She has been in many many games and shows over the years, in fact, you may know her as the player character in Fallout 4! And her talents were shown in full force when it came to portraying Jack.

Both of these match-ups were extremely close. Particularly Harrier VS Widow. I was having to count up more votes than usual because it was really down to the wire and every vote mattered. The final match is gonna be a nasty one... stay tuned!
We finally bring our spotlight over to ME2 with Yvonne's performance as Miranda! She also provided the face of our beloved cheerleader. She did a great job bringing a lot of heart to the role.
