I'm assuming these are glass, but really just curious about what era they are from.

These two necklaces were supposedly favorites of my great-grandmother. I do think they are lovely, but I know nothing about them. What are they made of and from what period would they be?

Just curious what made these tiny swirls. The photo is zoomed in. The marks are smaller than a pencil eraser.
