10 years later…
After 10 years, my Secretlab Omega is finally starting to show its age. Honestly though, I’m pretty impressed with how well it’s held up considering how much use it’s gotten over the years.
The pleather is starting to peel in a few spots and there’s some cosmetic wear on the seat/headrest area, but structurally it’s still rock solid. No wobbling, no broken recline mechanism, armrests still work great, and it’s honestly just as comfortable as when I bought it.
This chair has survived daily gaming sessions, work from home days, and even multiple moves across state lines with me. At this point it feels less like a gaming chair and more like an old reliable piece of furniture I refuse to give up on.
Trying to squeeze another 5 years out of it before I finally retire it. I’ve patched a couple spots to keep the peeling from spreading, and aside from the cosmetic damage it’s still going strong.
For all the criticism gaming chairs get, I can at least say this Omega absolutely earned its money over the last decade.
