Umarex guantlet sl25 power mod advice
Little back story. When I got my guantlet, every screw on it was loose. The rails didnt hold zero, the screws holding the reciever into the chassis. All of it. I got the full reseal kit from hajimoto, along with the noring probe seal. I plan on going through it, completely re sealing the whole system. And torqing the screws with locktite.
So, whilst I am in there. I woul like to replace the tank, and regulator. My benchmark for all of this will be reaching 100 fpe reliably and accurately. I am currently getting about 60-70 fpe. Using h&n 31gr slugs. However, I would like to stay below the sound barrier. So, in my calculator 40 grains (h&n heavy slugs) going 1100 fps, gets me about 107 fpe. Similar to a 22lr. And id feel comfortable smacking a coyote or small hog if I had to.
Now my question is, does anyone have any experience with terminator industries tank and regulator combos? I like the 500 cc option, but my question is more in regards to the regulator options,
2200 PSI doesn't seem like that big of a bump. But 2400 PSI, I am afraid ill send everything supersonic downrange, except special 60 gr boat tails (get them on ebay).
Do you guys think 2400 psi is too much, or just right for what i am trying to do?
Thanks, strangers.
