So Hypothetically...

If i wanted to get an air gun, what would you recommend for this situation?

  1. Total newbie

  2. Considering it to deal with a rat problem that traps have so far failed to sort. 🐀 💥

  3. Live in the UK so needs to be less than 12 foot pounds (in a rifle configuration) or 6 (pistol configuration)

  4. Don't care what it looks like so long as it gets the job done

  5. In an allotment area so preferably not using lead pellets as I don't really want lead getting into my soil.

  6. Able to be carried discreetly in a bag or whatever so I don't look like Michael Ryan

  7. I've got a bit of money and I'm annoyed enough to spend it if if gets results, but I'm not looking for top of the range - I am not expecting this to be a hobby or anything.

The Buster is insanely accurate

Took it out for some accuracy testing today.

10 to 35 yards and the groups stayed tighter than expected. Still testing pellets, but this thing is impressing me so far.

How it started - How it ended……

I wanted a small but fun backpack gun to compete control when out walking the woods by me. Settled on the Hatsan Velox and modded it to suit my needs.

Snowpeak PP800R scope

Hello guys I've just bought a Snowpeak PP800R .177 fairly used for 150€ A guy bought it one month ago for his younger son but the grip didn't fit his hand...

I have no experience with an air pistol, maybe I've shot once or twice at the shooting range years ago. it's my first time owning one ,waiting for the mail delivery.

I'm looking for a pistol scope something affordable to try like an AliExpress one with 2 or 3 magnification and the appropriate eye relief to try the whole airpistol experience for back yard plinking and target shooting... Suggestions are welcome.

I'm an experienced air rifle user, I used to shoot BR and FT competitors years ago. Currently i own 3 springers and 3 PCP rifles most of them HW, and Air Arms.

I'm used to bulky scopes with short eye relief like Nikko Stirling Diamond 10-50x60(EV2) Nikko Stirling target Master FT 6-24x56(S400MPRFT) some Hawke scopes 4-12x40(hw97kt), 3-7X32( hw98) Simmons 3-9X32(Diana mod.45)

Found in the basement

Hey there,

found this while cleaning out the basement of a flat and need help identifying it.

GPT and Google said its a Diana Mod 16 from the 1930s to 1950s but im getting mixed results.

Anyone know what brand/model/age that rifle is?

Any help is much appreciated!
Greets from germany

Edit: found two stamps barely readable: Diana Mod 25 and on the left side made in germany.

What do you think is currently the best WOOD stocked PCP airgun that costs less than $1,000USD that can consistently hit a dinner plate sized target at 100 yards? No black plastic stocks.

I'm looking to add a nice looking air rifle with a real WOOD or laminate wood stock to my little but growing collection.

No black plastic stocks for me. I like the traditional wooden hunting rifle look and feel.

Slight preference for .22 cal but .25 cal would also be ok.

Ideally, I'd like the PCP gun to be mechanically able to consistently hit a dinner plate sized steel target about the size of a dinner plate at 100 yards because the outdoor range near me has a bunch of animal shaped steel silhouette targets around that size.

Note I do not need super accuracy at 100 yards, I just need have the pellet audibly smack anywhere on the steel target at 100 yards if I do my part.

What kind of maintenance can I do on my compressor? My last vevor compressor gave out because of lack of lubrication I believe. What's the best way to ensure there is lubrication in the piston?

Looking for advice with purchase of an air rifle

Apologies for any confusion, i am in England were we have a 12ftlb limit on air rifles, anything over that requires a FAC Fire Arms Certificate.

Its been nearly 40 years since I last owned and fired my Relum Tornado in .22.

It was to my mind, as good air rifle, it was the deluxe version with a beautifully grained woodstock.

Now after all these years, I have reached the point of wanting to restart shooting. With my original Relum Tornado shooting rabbits with absolutely no problem and having clean kills, the range was typically back garden distance on an old farm.

Things have changed a lot with Air Rifles, with Co2, gas ram, pcp etc.

I like the look of the SMK XS38, it reminds me of my old Tornado. Now in my defence i have tried the SMK XS78, that uses Co2, it felt nice enough but I didn't fancy buying into the Co2, with added extra cost of having to buy extra bulbs.

So any recommendations or pointers, I would prefer 2nd hand to save costs

Hit me with your opinions and budgets.

Thanks .

Hello, I need help with my moderator

Hello, I was at the range today dropped it and now pallets and now getting stuck inside of it. Is it repairable or do I need to replace it

If I need to replace it, what do I replace it with

And if it’s repairable, what do I do

Also, if you want a reason why I took the moderator off, I was changing it from the rifle configuration into the pistol configuration

Iguana hunting air gun

Hey yall, im trying to get into Iguana Hunting with air guns. I was recommended to buy a Gamo .22, and am on a budget. Which of there models will do the trick for Iguanas? Is it better to get a higher power one like 1,300 FPS for in case you don’t have elite accuracy?
