Which one should I get?

For astronomy. Beginner’s guide read. Actions have porro prism, svbony has ED glass, last 2 prostaffs are highly praised overall with the most reviews. They’re a variety of sizes, and they would be used in bortle 6.5 conditions. Another way to look at it is, is porro prism or ED glass more desirable, and would that be strictly better than either prostaff. How would they rank in order based on everything, if possible? Thx in advance

Stargazing binoculars dilemma

I’m looking for a pair of stargazing binoculars. In Canada, budget is give or take $200CAD, keeping it flexible though. I’d like to be able to see up to planets, star clusters, double stars, and more visible nebulas like orion’s belt(to be clear my expectations are tempered.) I read the sub buyer’s guide and did some research, and I think a pair of binoculars would be best for my situation. I’ve found a couple that seem to be reputable and within budget:

Celestron UpClose g2 10x50 - $57.27
Celestron SkyMaster 12x60 - $148.00

The UpClose is far cheaper, and I know the general rule is 10x magnification is about as high as you can go while still comfortably using the binoculars without a tripod. I don’t have a tripod and I’m pretty tall so I can’t imagine one that fits me being cheap.

That being said, the area I live in is around Bortle 6.5, so maybe the extra power of the SkyMaster would be worth the extra weight, while still being small enough to not be too unwieldy? And I’m willing to pay more for a noticeable improvement in performance.

Given that information, which should I choose? Also, if there’s any other models you have to recommend (preferably on amazon.ca) I would be interested in hearing about them as well.

Some used tapes I bought have musty smelling boxes. Is there any way to safely clean the insides?

The tapes look fine, just worried something’s gonna grow in the cardboard sleeves. Can they be cleaned somehow? Should I avoid tapes with musty boxes?

Is there any harm in keeping a CRT near my decks/tapes?

Doing some rearranging but I’m not sure if the crt’s gonna wipe my tapes or something if I leave it there

Special shoutout to these useless fucking things

Worst type of these BY FAR fuckin love how they break every time. I took this brand new cd out ONCE and the teeth are broken. Many such cases. Worthless crap.

Cd player from ebay that was tested and working can’t read discs on arrival. Already got a refund, but is there any way to get it working?

I tried cleaning the lens already. When turned on, it makes the same noise regardless of whether there’s a disc in it or not, like it can’t tell.

Panasonic rx-d20 cassette player only plays in left speaker, but the cd player and tuner work in both.

Used some deoxit on the selector switch and wiggled it for a while but still no change. Any ideas on how to fix?
