46 minutes running time + made in Japan ( found one : NOS & imported from Japan)

Just got these back. Preparing… by pixel in space, a duo from Saint Petersburg: 6 tracks, about 16 minutes, mixing breaks, glitchy guitar, violin and voice.

The band dubbed every cassette themselves to get the best possible sound. I did the J-card with an inner spread, the shell stickers and the rest of the artwork.

It's a prologue to their upcoming album Well Done Journey. Tapes and digital are on Bandcamp also check out YouTube video with my animation.

So i got nice collection of underground rap tapes and i wanna make cassette rips on youtube, is it possible only using phone and rca cable? or does it need computer? and if it need computer, can someone help me and tell me how is it done?

I am happy if someone would give me advice and help, been wanting so long to make yt channel and rip my tapes on there.

Synths + cassette tape can sound so nostalgic and magical

So I have a Sony TC-w380 that I was given awhile back. After a belt swap deck A is mostly working. Plays generally pretty well but doesn't stop when finished rewinding and seems to get stuck on one particular tape. Otherwise seems okay.

Deck B on the other hand doesn't play at all. Opening it up, the idler gear is broken. This doesn't seem like an easy part to source either.

Is this deck worth the effort repairing, or should I look for a better unit? Thanks for the advice!

When i put the tape on it'll play for maybe 5 or 6 seconds then stop, when I open it and slide the tape out, there is a little loop of tape hanging out of the actual cassette? Whats the issue here, and how do I go a out fixing it, and is there a video to the breakdown of this unit? Thanks in advance, btw its a kx-w6020

I noticed interesting, but very irritating issue on my Pioneer CT-W505R. I recorded 90min cassette and played it on another player: first 3 or 4 songs on cassette sound okay, but then they start to speed up. Logically, my recording deck slows speed closer to the end of side of cassette.
Is it a belt issue or something more complicated?
I opened my deck, touched belts, well, they aren't very tight, I must say. I can also provide some video from inside, if needed.
Well, I wish you could help me with good advice or even provide reputable website to buy belt kit?

I. Love. This. Tapedeck. Sorry, this is my second post here today, but I'm quite excited I came across this subreddit.

I was gonna say, if you ever come across the RS-BX 501 at a good price in good condition, go get it. It sounds great and it's very reliable - among all my tapedecks it's the one I most use.

Well, there are a lot of good arguments against auto reverse decks, but this one (I bought it in an excellent condition quite some years ago) runs like clockwork, just like the good old Technics 1210. It's just a pity that the 1210 has been reintroduced while the RS-BX 501 will never be ... which is no wonder, as tape decks are way more complex than turntables.

P.S.: No kidding about my MD player :)

If anyone thought the tube-based cassette player was a joke—well, it wasn't; this is already my second prototype.

So I got a tascam 488 portastudio 8 track machine and a Maxell XLII high bias IEC type 2 high cassette to go with it

It can only fast forward, when I play it normally it stops immediately

Did I get the wrong type of tape for it?

Is the machine broken?

Or do I need to do something to get it working

Its also making this buzzing sound the whole time, is that normal for old 8 tracks or is it another sign the machine is broken
