I have just received a lot of tapes and bought a few more. Most of them work amazingly, but a couple have a problem of slowing down/stopping or making like a rumbling noise at certain points. I’ve made sure it’s not my Walkman.
But this one it seems like the pad has come loose, is there anyway to fix that?

Picked up a fully functional Yamaha 580SE for 40 bucks.
As an owner of a KX-930 and a KX-1200, I’m reluctant to pick up more Yamaha’s but the 580SE has always intrigued me. Specs are supposed to be quite high, recording has a good reputation and it has Dolby S.
At this price and in this condition, I couldn’t say no.
Anybody else have this deck? Any feedback is welcome..

I recorded a mix of some of my favorite songs from mcbaise and while the quality is better than i expected, theres still a lot of fuzz and static. I would love to know any tips and tricks to eliminate fuzz, and more importantly i noticed a mic port on the side of my slim line panasonic, and im wondering if there is any way to hook it up to a computer to port audio directly from a file. Indirectly would work too, i saw someone using an ipod mp3player to reccord on a tape deck. I just want to know what i would need or how i can find information on the subject.
Edit: one thing i forgot to mention, this is super complicated and may be hard to understand, but the way i recorded it was by playing music on my laptop and just setting the recorder down next to it while i left to take a shower.

Picked up a player to go with em at the thrift for $15, which seems like a steal based on some reverse image searching!! :D

After a LONG time, I'm able to listen to my cassettes again! My Nakamichi crapped out nearly 10 years ago. Found this Tascam and had it serviced. So very nice.

Today I scored a copy of snoop dogg doggystyle for $1 - yes one US American dollar, but it was just a loose tape. I can’t seem to find a j card to complete the look. Aside from printing a black and white crappy bootleg on my home printer…where do you all find j card cassette inserts for your tapes?

Any advice or recommendations welcome.

Bought this used walkman sport (wm-F75) to replace the belt on, but I'm having trouble getting to the belt.

I have removed all the hidden screws on the back and the tuner and volume as the service guide said, but i am still not able to lift the cover from the internals.

It lifts everywhere else except for under where the screwdriver is touching. I think i may have to do something with the headphone aux but was hoping one of you might be familiar with the model and if there was something I missed?

Decided to walk to lunch today and bring my TPS-L2 along with my new Crook One mix tape. Realized I have the perfect carrier. Its a match made in heaven!

Found this in a music store today, picked it up to replace my shitty portable that played cassettes a pitch too high. It's not horrible for a newer made player, the front speaker sounds great. Definitely starts lacking a little when using earbuds though. It records radio and voice, even comes with a little microphone to plug in for voice recording, haven't tried either yet. Anyone who's tried this player, what are your thoughts on it?

I got really excited when I saw a pile of tapes on Facebook marketplace photo and I happened to see this Smashing pumpkins case. I washed over with excitement. Seller didn’t want to split any up. Strange mix of music and $100 for the lot. I offered $10 for the smashing pumpkins and they finally agreed.

40 minute drive only to find out that the dawn to dusk cassette tape was missing. Case and j card intact but no tape :( even had a Walmart receipt from 2001.

If anyone has a Dawn to dusk tape they wanna sell lemme know.

Grabbed it and also found a loose snoop dog - doggystyle tape for an extra buck. Not entirely a bad haul today.
