Wolfbrigade!

Just found these guys today at the gym and sharing in case there is anyone else out there like me, a metal listener for 30 years and somehow haven't heard of them.

They're awesome! Very motorhead-esque, but with some hard-core and maybe some melodic black metal influences? I am imagining a hybrid of motorhead, zeke, high on fire, and like agnostic front or something. Worth checking out!

Need some new bands recommendations.

Hey everyone, I just realised everything I listen to is at least 10 years old I want to know some newer bands that are actually good.

I liked iron maiden, old metalica , rammstien, black sabbath, older Marilyn manson and of course linkin park.

I like a bit of scream, anger , rage but also emotional, for example I love a solitary reign by amenra , I also don't like songs that are ALL SCREAM.

AleStorM - 2014 - Sunset on the Golden Age - 1741 The Battle of Cartagena

Sailing the raging seas
To distant lands unknown
Porto Bello fell in a day
Now Britannia rules the waves
Thirty thousand men at arms
Red Ensign in the sky
To Cartagena we set sail
With blood and plunder we‘ll prevail
Twice struck, and twice we‘ve failed
But third time works a charm
The greatest fleet the world has seen
To fight the War of Jenkins‘ Ear
Waters lash across the bow
Through Caribbean Seas
The year is 1741
The final battle has begun
The skies are burning with thunder
The seas are ablaze with flame
Set the course for Cartagena
The sands of time will remember our names
The skies are burning with thunder
The seas are ablaze with flame
Set the course for Cartagena
History is written today
Across the sea-lashed deck
Our captain gives a cry
„Cartagena lies ahead
The Spanish foe will soon be dead!“
Portents of coming doom
Engulf the battle line
High above, the heavens sigh
A red light burning in the sky
An omen of dread
Which no man can deny
The legends hold true
We must turn back or die
Superstitious fools
Be gone from my sight
Blast the trumpets of war
And prepare for the fight
The skies are burning with thunder
The seas are ablaze with flame
Set the course for Cartagena
The sands of time will remember our names
The skies are burning with thunder
The seas are ablaze with flame
Set the course for Cartagena
History is written today
Hard to starboard
Man the cannons
And on my command, unleash hell!
FIRE! Show them your steel
Bring them to death on the battlefield
Ride on the wind, and conquer the foe
The legends be damned, to our deaths we will ago
The skies are burning with thunder
The seas are ablaze with flame
Set the course for Cartagena
The sands of time will remember our names
The skies are burning with thunder
The seas are ablaze with flame
Set the course for Cartagena
History is written today

Band suggestions: Opeth’s first three albums.

Does anyone have any good band recs that are similar to the atmosphere and composition to Opeths early sound? Specifically, Orchid. I love the first three albums.

Nectar, in the mist she was standing, April ethereal, when, forest of October, black rose immortal - are all so perfect, and I’d really enjoy finding a similar essence in a different band. I’ve exhausted these albums, and am looking for something new.

Albums with good Album covers

I want to get some posters to put on my wall, However, I don't want to put an album that I'm not that interested in on my wall. So I need some good albums with really nice album covers.

Funk Doom Prog bands

Im a big fan of all doom, prog like Tool, and i friggin love Primus. I recently got introduced to Elder through reddit snd i think they’re awesome, especially their first album which I would describe as a perfect blend of prog and doom. Any more stuff like this? especially bands that meld these genres.

Doom metal bands with high attention to detail on how their albums play as whole, not just individual track value

Or Any slow, melodic album recs that play well start to finish appreciated

High-pitch Metal

So this request might sound a bit weird. I work at a food delivery service and I spend a lot of time each day on a motorcycle, so I need some music for the time to pass. The problem is that I don't use earphones for road safety reasons so I just rely on my phone's speaker, and so due to the engine's sound, lower pitched sound get lost. So, I need music with less riffing, a lot of solos and higher pitched vocals. Lately I have been listening to some Dream Theater, newish Mastodon, Labyrinth and to a lot of Blues and some prog rock (Wishbone Ash, Gryphon, Eloy).
