[15M] Hit a wall with my music taste. Need recommendations that will completely blow me away

Hi,

I’m 15, these are some of my favourite albums and lately I feel like I’ve hit a massive wall with metal (but also rock). I haven’t found any new albums that truly shake up my taste or give me that obsessive feeling where you just need to listen to it on repeat.

Honestly, the only things that have really grabbed me recently are Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins and Dinosaur Jr.

What do you suggest me? (Could be metal but also rock and other genres)

Black Metal Suggestions?

I've never really gotten into black metal, mostly due to its stereotypes, but found Blackbraid last year and absolutely love them. Recently started getting into Wolves in the Throne Room as well.

For my typical music taste, I listen to a little of everything, but really enjoy metalcore, melodeath, and folk metal. I am typically someone that loves good production, which I think has also steered me away from most black metal as well.

What non-sketchy black metal bands would you recommend for someone that enjoys Blackbraid and Wolves in the Throne Room, and comes from a more metalcore and melodeath fanbase?

Bands like Ethereal Darkness and Donhaim?

Anyone have recommendations for bands like these? Been really into epic, atmo, black/doom and gothic.

Doesnt have to be exactly like these, but something that triggers a similar reaction!

Any cowboy/western extreme metal suggestions?

As the title says, I need some black or death or any other extreme metal music which incorporates elements of western music.(trumpets, harmonicas etc.) Think Marricone meets blastbeats.

Looking for melodic Epic/USPM with mid-register vocals

Hi. I used to listen to quite a bit of Power Metal years ago when I used Pandora, but got away from it for various reasons. In the mean time I've been listening almost exclusively to Dio to possibly the degree of an Autistic special interest. Lately I've been trying to branch out more in my listening, as well trying to pursue vocal training. I used to sing back in my school days and I've been missing it, but I want to see about learning how to sing rock and metal. I'm a Baritone/Tenor 1, so I don't have the register for a lot of the clean-sung metal out there, but I know USPM is more accepting of lower vocals than EuPM tends to be. So, anyone have suggestions for me?

My girlfriend wants to get into death metal and I need suggestions

Hi everyone. I am a huge death metal fan whilst my girlfriend likes nu metal and things adjacent to that. She's said that she wants to be more into death metal and asked me for recommendations. I said to her to start with symbolic by death as its seen as one of the best and also death are the band that started the whole genre. She listened to it and absolutely fucking loved it. She asked me for more recommendations but to be honest I don't really know what else. I love OSDM but I know my preference of OSDM (demilich, Chthe'llist, cryptworm, etc.) Is not something that she would like, or at least straight away. So I'm coming to you guys to help me. I already have a semi list of things I know of, but you guys are somehow more knowledgeable than Google so if you know of any Death adjacent OSDM then please tell me. Thanks guys.

(Also if you have anything similar to my preference, please tell me, love you xxx)

Anything like PISSCORPSE?

Is there anything like this?

Pisscorpse mixes Deathgrind with War Metal and I am not able to find anything like this at all. I am well aware of bands like Nails, Terrorizer, Groin, Caustic Wound, Gravesend or Vermin Womb already. I know and like quite a bit of War Metal/Noise too but never managed to find anything quite like it.

Help getting into black metal

I have literally zero experience with black metal. The reason I want to get into black metal is because the album covers look cool as fuck. I need albums or bands that are beginner friendly, some shit that can kinda ease me in. I don't really know anything about black metal. I usually listen to groove metal and death metal (Gojira, Death, Bolt Thrower, Sepultura)

Death metal

Death metal was my main squeeze but I’ve been on a sludge/post metal kick. Looking to diversify my new music playlist a bit more with some new death metal.

I prefer groovier/chuggier death metal. Nothing specifically against old school DM but I hate skank beats and overly wanky sweep picking tech death.

Bands I like include Decapitated, Dyscarnate, psycroptic, Gorguts, cattle decapitation, and probably half of what will get recommended to me so share the deep cuts.

Could you all give me albums like Fistful of Metal and Feel the Fire?

Both have a certain 'epic'ness to their sound, really closer to NWOBHM if you asked me.

Need more like this

Esoteric - The Maniacal Vale

This album, and others by Esoteric, are just unbelievably good. Any bands similar to Esoteric?
