Whenever I create a new family to try out the new features from the update, my game crashes. I've tried this 5 times already. Is anyone else having the same problem?

After today's update, the game is simply unplayable. The menu music freezes, and a simple command causes the game to crash and exit the session, forcing me to face the immense Brazilian queue again.
